My Dutch friends: Wiki says Liberation Day is an official holiday only every 5 years? Is this so? If so, is it a bigger event on those official days?

I believe that this specifically applies to having a free day from work. Not 100% sure, but I think that every working citizen has in general at least one free day every five years at May the 5th.
Some people have every year a free day at this day, other's don't. It depends on who you're working for and how all is regulated in your contract (can't explain it well, it's more complicated - I believe that we have in my country a quite different social system and some terms I can't even find translations for).
But the event itself is every year of the same size.
