We have a bootleg of Lord Of The Flies sung by Bruce. I want to make a comparison

Bruce sang the verse part in the low tone Blaze sang. During this part he sounded flat to me. As for pre-chorus part, he choose to sing one octave higher. During this part, I said "Here's Bruce". He's absolutely great, without this tone Iron Maiden sounds different. Not bad, just different and unusual. But returning suddenly to low tone again for second verse... So sudden ... there's no transition and this felt strange, not in a good way. Finally "Saint ans Sinners" chorus again high tone. Yes it sounds energetic, but it is too high this time. It's the first time I find a high tone unnecessarily high in an Iron Maiden song.

For "oooo" part, Although Blaze has a lower voice, the one from Bruce sounds more deep. Probably due to vibration he does on his voice (it sounds like trills on guitar)

I didn't find Bruce's version better than Blaze's. Except oooo part, I even prefer Blaze's live performances over this version.

Let's not forget that LOTF lyrics were written by Blaze himself, so he'll more likely interpret lyrics and give a feeling better. But let's see, maybe in future concerts, Bruce will interpret lyrics differently. After all, his strength lies on his interpretation more than his wide range. He sings with soul unlike many high vocalist like Stratovarius vocalist.

For those who don't have the link here it is:
