Bonus video PROBLEM with Mission Edition TFF

Forostar

Ancient Mariner
Did any of you guys play the bonus video content via de Mission Edition, to be precise: the "Mission Debrief"?
And did you experience problems with that item?

It gets stuck around 15m30s when the best part starts: Adrian begins to explain how he experienced working with Kevin and Steve.

Really a shame.

This may sound strange as a first reaction since I've heard the album, but I'll be more positive later on. I want to play the album more times and let it sink in first.

But this stuff I had to get off my chest, right now.

Ah, maybe not unimportant: When I go to the bonus stuff, I select "Rest of World".
Maybe people from the US don't experience the problem. (But then again, maybe I'm the only one with this problem)

Re: FUCK - bonus video problem with Mission Edition TFF

Foro, I am sure we can find you a copy of this sometime. When I get my copy of it, I'll try to get you a digital version.

Re: FUCK - bonus video problem with Mission Edition TFF

Wait, you got it already? I know it leaked but I thought it wasn't gonna be released until the 13th, and only in Germany or something. Post the bonus content on YouTube por favor...

Re: FUCK - bonus video problem with Mission Edition TFF

Yeah, Foro's not gonna do that, especially when the bonus content doesn't work.

Forostar lives in Germany the Netherlands.

That is really nice, mate.  :ok:

@Suicidehummer: No clue how to do that. I think this stuff isn't a file on the disc itself. I only think the disc is needed to activate the streaming and the watching of the content on Iron Maiden.com

So now I realize that perhaps the problem isn't the disc but the content on the site. Not sure how this technique exactly works.

Yes, I am very happy with my local record store. They have the album since today, already.

Allow me to quote what I said to an Englishman at Sonisphere about Warsaw: It isn't part of Germany. We tried very hard to make it so, but we failed.

Forostar,

Have you played the Mission II: Rescue and Revenge game? Is it like the Mission I game on their website, or is it completely different? I'm debating whether or not to buy the Mission Edition when it comes out Tuesday. Despite the video problem, do you think it's worth the extra money? Thanks.

I got the same problem Forostar. Keeps freezing around that time, and refreshing did no good (I also selected rest of world).

As for the game, it is similar to the first one but much more fun (I think) as you are just flying around and shooting rather than trying to collect parts. Also, as of when I finished level 2, I was rank 39 on the leaderboards  ... evidently because there aren't that many people who have played it, I'll drop down soon enough  :P

I would definitely recommend that everyone get the Mission Edition. It's only a few dollars more and you get an awesome metal case and access to the bonus stuff. You don't really have anything to lose.

Also, update on me and my friend's release party:

Due to unforseen circumstances (we had to make a pizza  -_-), we only ended up starting at sometime after 1 am. I had also attended a philosophy seminar the entire day, and after that me and my friend had gone to a friends house to play some cards for a few hours, so by the time we got to listening, we were way overtired and fully started getting spaced out listening. It was an awesome experience. When Satellite 15 kicked in at the start we wondered what the hell was happening and then it just got awesome. And the rest was one hell of a journey. Entirely different angle for Maiden, and good on them for having the audacity to try something new.

So in conclusion, it sucks that the Mission Debrief video screws up, but the album is insane, and everyone should buy the Mission Edition  :)

@Infinite Screams, I haven't played the game yet.

But thanks LogJam for answering all that. So the problem is pretty big. I'd say it's the website isn't it?
Maybe this problem could be resolved without getting a new CD in the store.

I am curious if the American edition has the same problem.

Yeah, it's either the website or the video itself. Something has mucked up. I'm sure that when it's released in more countries they'll sort it out, no doubt they'll become aware of it.

I think the American edition would.

I'm only guessing, but the need to choose your area is because of the different distributers and maybe differences in the CDs themselves, and the program the website uses needs to know this from that so it can authenticate the disc. The files/videos/game/wallpapers/pictures are hosted on the actual IM site and, I would say, are the same for everyone, no matter how you get there. So it's going to be a universal problem as far as I can tell.

I've ordered the mission edition from play.com, should be arriving Monday morning( the official release date here in England) and I hope I don't have the same problems, sounds like a website issue to me

Hey folks. I purchased the mission edition yesterday and have finally gotten around to checking out the bonus features.

My questions is....where the hell are they? Do we have to head to the website? There is no clue on the disc. Thanks!

Hey there MDR, check the bottom of the back of the case, right under the tracklist - there should be a note saying

'To access extra bonus content go to www.ironmaiden.com/bonus'

That's your destination, my friend  :ok:

Also, make sure you have your disc handy, you have to use it to gain access to the online bonus content area.

I have the same issue Foro, and I did not stream it - I d'loaded it (it is 20 odd mins duration) and it got stuck at that time. It is the fault of the video itself.

I would guess that the US version will be the same as it will most likely point to the same video - the only difference is that it will look for a different CD to authenticate the user.

Alright, Albie, good you to downloaded it in order to see if that would solve the issue.

Amazing that this can happen. All amatures in the world check what they've put on their sites, and this highly professional outfit hires a wellpaid company with a fool in its ranks who didn't even check what he had uploaded.
