By the way, welcome carlost2121!

Well, the answers are correct! But there also exists a 2CD version without that book!
Anyway, here's the tracklist from the 16track 1CD:

The number of the beast
Can I play with madness
Fear of the dark (Live)
Run to the hills
Bring your daughter...
The evil that men do
Aces high
Be quick or be dead
23:58
Man on the edge
Virus
Running free (Live)
Wasted years
The clairvoyant
The trooper
and last but not least Hallowed be thy name!

Be(a)st regards,
Maidenaustria

This is the worst version of The Beast of ! Besides the lower number of the songs, Hallowed Be thy Name is incomplete. Its finishes with a fade out (like stranger in a strange land and prophecy) right after the solos. In fatc, if my memory is not tath bad, it ENDS UP in Adrian solo... I have the 1-CD Best o.t. Beast, and this is not true for my copy. Every song is complete except the live version of Running Free - it's the version from LAD with the crowd participation edited out just like on the 1-CD LAD.

I think Maidenaustria must be right: you have an illegal boot. While this might be OK if the band in question was worthy of contempt *cough*Metallica*cough*, that's not the way to treat Maiden. I don't hold it against you personally, MigDaimon; just buy a legit copy when you can, then set some rabid dogs on whoever sold you the boot. I have nothing against boots of live shows, but booting studio albums is unforgivable.

well said Sinister!
I'm at the same point!
Bootleggin' Live acts - that's what it's all about!
But to copy and sell a studioalbum - sucks [!--emo&--][img src=\'style_emoticons/[#EMO_DIR#]/mad.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'mad.gif\' /][!--endemo--]

I'll agree with that. ETG is okay, but it's missing all the Maiden Classics (except for that great FotD version at Rio). The 16 CD version has pretty much everything the beginner Maidenfan needs. A good mix of fast tracks (Aces High, Run to the Hills, 2 Minutes to Midnight), a few live numbers (FotD, Running Free) an introduction to Blaze (Man on the Edge, Virus), and one of the classic epics (Hallowed Be Thy Name). Hell, it worked for me.

Infinite Dreams and Fear of the Dark is the only two real brilliant Maiden classics on there. Still, a few songs like NOTB, The Trooper and The Clairvoyant deserves to be there.

Anyway, I like the FOTD live version from Finland 92 better than the RIR one [!--emo&;)--][img src=\'style_emoticons/[#EMO_DIR#]/wink.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'wink.gif\' /][!--endemo--]

I do and I don't. I love the sound of Fear of the Dark with three guitars. Just can't beat that. Plus I find the quality to be a bit better. The crowd interaction is a bit off.

The RL/DO version is amazing too. You can tell by hearing that song and the others from the venue that it must have been one of Maiden's finest concerts ever.

Oh ! Please ! Please ! Forgive me ! I'm such a jerk for not explaining it at all.

The cd i'm talking about its the Brazilian version of The Beast of the Beast. I completly forgot to say that EMI totally screwed up the album in here by doing that with Hallowed.

Please forgive me by my stupidity [!--emo&:(--][img src=\'style_emoticons/[#EMO_DIR#]/sad.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'sad.gif\' /][!--endemo--] [!--emo&--][img src=\'style_emoticons/[#EMO_DIR#]/blush.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'blush.gif\' /][!--endemo--] [!--emo&--][img src=\'style_emoticons/[#EMO_DIR#]/blush.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'blush.gif\' /][!--endemo--]

EMI screwed up the record? OK then, sic the rabid dogs on EMI! After all, Maiden made millions of pounds for EMI over the years, so EMI should act more respectfully towards them!
