Re: Best Metal Song Survivor: Wasted vs. cornfedhick round 4 (Jan 13-15)

Hurricane, French and Sanitarium

Why do I have a sinking suspicion this will end up with a Rime v. Hallowed final just like the Maiden Survivor?

Re: Best Metal Song Survivor: Wasted vs. cornfedhick round 4 (Jan 13-15)

Rock You Like A Hurricane (Scorpions)
A Toute Le Monde (Megadeth)
Disposable Heroes (Metallica)

Re: Best Metal Song Survivor: Wasted vs. cornfedhick round 5 (Jan 15-17)

A Toute Le Monde, Sanitarium, and Disposable Heroes -- yes, the last was on my list.  So sue me.

Re: Best Metal Song Survivor: Wasted vs. cornfedhick round 5 (Jan 15-17)

A Toute Le Monde (Megadeth)
Highway To Hell (AC/DC)
Disposable Heroes (Metallica)

By the way, 'monde' is male -->le monde -->à tout le monde
to say à toute le monde is not possible, it would have been correct if monde was female --> à toute la monde

A toute le monde --> à tout le monde

"Winners" of round 1.5: Disposable Heroes, Pure Evil
no5's picks have joined the battle; Round 2.1 has now begun.

Eliminated:
11 (tie). Disposable Heroes (Metallica) [cornfedhick]
11 (tie). Pure Evil (Iced Earth) [cornfedhick]
13. Rock You Like A Hurricane (Scorpions) [Wasted]
14. Sober (Tool) [cornfedhick]
15. Breaking The Silence (Queensryche) [Wasted]

17. Fat Bottomed Girls (Queen) [Wasted]
18. I Like To Rock (April Wine) [Wasted]
19. Cochise (Audioslave) [Wasted]

And thus the first series ends with Wasted and cornfedhick splitting the top ten, 5 songs each. Now we'll see if no5 can get his share of the list.

For the newbs: no5 is the guy who now calls himself Will-I-Am. That's his original nickname, and it's the way the oldtimers still think of him.

Children Of The Grave, Manowar, Bathory

I remind you that -->here you can youtube my picks.
It certainly hurts to see your picks down, but it hurts more if people vote without listening first.

Re: Best Metal Song Survivor: no5's picks, round 1 (Jan 17-19)

no5's first 3 songs.
I barely know any of these songs, but from what I listened they aren't THAT good for the most part.

Re: Best Metal Song Survivor: no5's picks, round 1 (Jan 17-19)

At least you gave them a chance  ;)
But if you want my opinion, Gettysburg is a 30 minutes epic in three parts -with the third one being the most powerful

Fair enough.
I've never been a fan of Iced Earth, so they are, for the most part, at the bottom of my list.

-it also gave me some interest for Us civil war upon its release.
