A coma stole my name.
Well the title explains it all, whats your favorite album Opener/Closer? You are allowed to vote for an album just because of one song. Like for me I'm voting for Piece of Mind, because Where Eagles Dare is a kickass rocker then this powerhouse of an album closes with a song like To Tame a Land. Now A Matter of Life and Death does also come close, Different World sets the album in motion and makes you want to get up and jump around and sing along. Then at the end comes the infamous Legacy. But regardless I love To Tame a Land and thinks it's one the greatest album closers ever. Now please don't vote for an album just because it's your favorite think of how an opener sets a standard for songs to come on the album. Then of course a closer ends with an roundhouse kick to your ears.

Yes, Powerslave was awesome. Rime is my favorite song by Maiden, I wish it would of ended with Powerslave though. But, that's just me.

Powerslave it will be. Aces High is not the favourite of my openers (I prefer Caught Somewhere in Time, and maybe even Sign of the Cross as well) but Rime is not only my favourite closer, it's also my favourite song.

Alexander the Great and The Unbeliever made it tough for me.

I guess it's this then:

1. Powerslave
2. Somewhere in Time
3. The X-Factor

Forostar I'm guessing my top three will probably be something like this,
1. Piece of Mind
2. AMoLaD
3. SiT

Honarable mentions
Powerslave
The X Factor
Someone voted for BNW, I'd like to see there take on that. The Wicker Man does serve as an awesome opener though.

As much as it kills me, I voted for BNW - one of my least favorite albums, but the two songs bookend perfectly. I think they're the best example of Maiden's range. Close No. 2 is Powerslave, although I think PS should have ended the album too. If Legacy was gone, AMOLAD would have won.

1.Somewhere in Time: Caught Somewhere in Time/Alexander the Great
2.Piece of Mind: Where Eagles Dare/To Tame a Land
3.Powerslave: Aces High/Rime of the Ancient Mariner
