Best Live Maiden?

RIR, I think. [!--emo&--]/headbang.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'headbang.gif\' /][!--endemo--] Especially DVD! It makes me remember the gig I visited. [!--emo&:D--]/biggrin.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'biggrin.gif\' /][!--endemo--] And also this is a good introduction to what Maiden is now. I like LAD too, but we can't live our past! It's time to go ahead, and RIR is a big step forward. It's a 21st century Heavy Metal!

Yeah, A Real Live/Dead One is good too, but there are a couple of bad things that disappointed me a bit when I was first listening to it. The first and the biggest disappiontment was the sound producing. That, in fact, was Steve's unlucky debut as a producer. And the second disappiontment was singing. Bruce probably had some problems with his voice in those days... So I like RIR more!

Rock in Rio all the way. For a few reasons. I hate the way Bruce sounds on Live After Death. I understand the tour was so very intensive, but he did not sound top performance. But on Rock in Rio...well, Bruce sounded like Bruce. It was amazing to hear something that sounded so like the album.

When I heard LAD's Hallowed Be Thy Name, I didn't like it. First of all, why did they speed it up so much? They alwas played it faster at the concers, but not THAT fast! It was difficult for Bruce to sing so fast. And he couldn't reach his high tones at that song and some othersongs, it can be clearly heard [!--emo&:(--]/sad.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'sad.gif\' /][!--endemo--]. I hold with you! [!--emo&B)--]/cool.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'cool.gif\' /][!--endemo--]

What about MAIDEN ENGLAND??!??.
I've just recently got it and Im 'kin happy, cause its one of Maiden's greatest performances.

I would vote for the 3 shows, but have to choose one.... [!--emo&--]/mad.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'mad.gif\' /][!--endemo--] [!--emo&--]/blink.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'blink.gif\' /][!--endemo--]
I think I would vote for RIR too.

I left out a few I know. Maiden England, Donnington 92 and the Real live and Dead ones, But these 3 cds are the most widly known ones. And if you dont have Beast over Hammersmith yet, GET IT!

I had to go with LAD, because it's an old sentimental favorite. But the truth is I love all 3, and it's impossible to say that one is absolutely the best.

There is no argument - It has to be Live After Death (Full version).
Best song selection by a long way ..... Best Artwork .... Best DVD/Video (if you have it) ....

[!--QuoteBegin-SandMaN+Dec 29 2003, 10:00 PM--][div class=\'quotetop\']QUOTE(SandMaN @ Dec 29 2003, 10:00 PM)[/div][div class=\'quotemain\'][!--QuoteEBegin--] RiR really rocks...
250000 people!!!
This was the official figure. The real figure is "only" 150,000 people. The authorities thought that a full venue might have been a safety/security risk and limited the number of entries.

Well, 150,000 ain't bad.

I still prefer Beast Over Hammersmith though. More lively, more punchy, and Clive The Man behind the tubs! [!--emo&:P--]/tongue.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'tongue.gif\' /][!--endemo--]

Gotta be Beast Over Hammersmith. I don't actually have it but I have bootlegs of Hammersmith (incomplete soundboard & complete audience) which rock so I choose that!

They should release a video/DVD of that performance. I'm sure it won't take long to add a bit of brightness to it.

has to Live After Death . Firstly No Janick [!--emo&:)--]/smile.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'smile.gif\' /][!--endemo--] good song selection... H and Davey Kick Butt in it... Sound quality is good and it has rime of the ancient mariner... and if you got the double cd you can hera the best live version of Phantom of the opera ever recorded
