Best albums of all-time

Iron Maiden : Killers - Seventh Son - Brave new World - Factor X
Motörhead : Overkill
Black Sabbath : Paranoid - Masters of Reality
Jethro Tull : Thick as a Brick
Dream Theater : Scenes from a Memory
Queensrÿche : Operation Mindcrime
Rush : Clockwork Angels
Simon and Garfunkel : any best of, but only with studio versions
Omen : Warning of Danger
Slayer : Seasons in the Abyss
Mastodon : Blood Mountain
Steve Harris : British Lion
Thin Lizzy : Chinatown

This isn't quite as clear cut for me, when I put an album on I listen to it in it's entirity regardless of whether I think a song is subpar or not, there are songs that I skip but they're for other reasons. So I'd have to go with the 'every note' type thing (with an extra parameter that if it's in the background I know what track it is, rather than merging into one :p), although I don't think I have a single album that I would use every track in a playlist.

W.A.S.P - Crimson Idol, Headless Children
Bruce Dickinson - Accident of Birth
Sabaton - Art of War
UFO - Essential (do we count compilations?)
Motorhead - Inferno
Megadeth - System has Failed
Judas Priest - Painkiller, Screaming for Vengeance
Alice Cooper - Hey Stoopid
Scorpions - Humanity Hour 1
Tursias - The Varangian Way
Halford - Resurrection
Iron Maiden - Brave New World

I don't really think any of them are the best albums of all time, but they're some of my favourites and now I know your true purpose!

Holy Diver - Dio
Killswitch Engage - Killswitch Engage
Hymn of a Broken Man - Times of Grace
All That Remains - The Fall of Ideals
80% of Maiden's material

I saw British Lion on someone's list, I held off due to mediocre reviews, perhaps I'll give it a shot.

It's not a leap-out-and-hit-you-in-the-face album, but I wouldn't go on reviews alone. Some of those people were expecting Maiden No.2.

On mine ! This record is obviously not one the 10 best I've ever heard, but I was thinking of a kind of "lone island list" : which album would I take with me ? And the only solo album by Harry had to be there, period. And I listen to it on a regular basis and absolutely LOVE the basslines.
