So what are your favourite albums of all-time — the ones you know from the first note to the last, can play from start to finish without skipping a song, and that you can play over and over again and never, ever get tired of?

Well, favourite albums for me are a little different to albums that I never skip songs on, but here goes.

Favourite Albums
1. Iron Maiden - Somewhere in Time
2. Iced Earth - Night of the Stormrider
3. Rainbow - Rising
4. Judas Priest - Painkiller
5. Gamma Ray - Land of the Free
6. Blind Guardian - Tales From the Twilight World
7. Bruce Dickinson - The Chemical Wedding
8. Iron Maiden - Powerslave
9. Metallica - Ride the Lightning
10. Iron Maiden - Seventh Son of a Seventh Son

Albums that I never skip songs on (Actually this is quite tough, there's a metric ton of albums where I dislike 1 song from it)
Night of the Stormrider
Rising
Painkiller
Powerslave
Gamma Ray - Heading For Tomorrow
Blind Guardian - Somewhere Far Beyond
BG - Imaginations From the Other Side
Priest - Nostradamus (Disc 2)

Is all I can think of atm. The album with the lowest overall rating here is Heading For Tomorrow and I think is around the 70-80s in my album rankings.

Hmmm that's a toughie. No order because it generally depends on my mood, but these albums stay pretty consistent with me.

Stand Up- Jethro Tull

40 oz. to Freedom - Sublime
The X-Factor - Iron Maiden
Aqualung - Jethro Tull

Albums are in no particular order except alphabetical by artist. This was really the best way for me to go about this. Go through all the artists I have in my music library and choose the albums that fall under the Best Album category for me. These are the albums that I know from the first note to the last, can play from start to finish without skipping a song, and that I can play over and over again and never, ever get tired of. The list may change from time to time depending on my mood but these fit that description perfectly.

Silver and Gold - ASAP (Yes...really.)
Help!/Rubber Soul/Sgt. Peppers - The Beatles
David Gilmour - David Gilmour
Machine Head/Burn - Deep Purple
Killers/POM/SIT/SSOASS - Iron Maiden
Led Zeppelin III/Houses of the Holy/Physical Graffiti -Led Zeppelin

State of Mind/Welcome to the World - Psycho Motel
A Farewell to Kings/Permanent Waves/Moving Pictures - Rush
The Slider - T. Rex
The Joshua Tree - U2
The Who Sell Out/Who's Next - The Who

I have a lot of these, I'm not even really sure what my number one album of all time would be. I guess I'll just stick to metal/rock for this list, otherwise I'll probably get carried away :p These might not be all time classics or anything, but they're albums that I never get tired of and listen to frequently. Also have very few (if any) "skippable" songs.

The Beatles - Abbey Road/The Beatles/Revolver
Devin Townsend - Addicted/Terria
Pink Floyd - Animals/Dark Side of the Moon/The Final Cut (yea really)/The Wall
Dream Theater - Awake/Images & Words/Scenes From a Memory/Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence
