Bands Like Maiden

So, I'm a huge Maiden fan, but I have a lot of trouble finding other metal bands to listen to. Anyone have recommendations? I love Priest, Sabbath, Purple, and Dio. Have listened to a lot of others as well, but willing to give anything another shot.

Thats 80's type maiden, can't think of any band who sound like modern maiden really

Judging by your list I'd say you might possibly get off on Spiritual Beggars. Try the album Earth Blues first, it's an absolute monster.

Yes, Spiritual Beggars are definitely worth a listen, followed by many subsequent listens. A contender for my second favourite band after Maiden.

Iced Earth has a very similar sound, albeit with less harmonies and more thrash.

Sabaton have the same since of fun and tend to write similar melodies, but the vocals are radically different.

There's a great new band out of Utah called Visigoth worth checking out. They have some strong Maiden tendencies.
