I don't know what they'd say about this, but I'm sure you wouldn't want my opinion about the quality of your posts... [!--emo&<_<--][img src=\'style_emoticons/[#EMO_DIR#]/dry.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'dry.gif\' /][!--endemo--]

Come on, Mav. This is actually an interesting question.

According to the Early Days DVD, Steve isn't very happy with the first album because of the production.
According to the commentaries on the '98 reeditions of the albums, Steve considers Seventh Son and The X-Factor to be their best albums.
That's about all I know.

This is a question worthy of the official BB, in the same vein as "Do you think Steve would rather wear the spandex he had in the 80s or the football shorts he's currently wearing on stage?". Pointless and devoid of any interest. [!--emo&-_---][img src=\'style_emoticons/[#EMO_DIR#]/sleep.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'sleep.gif\' /][!--endemo--]

Lighten up, Mav. Perun is right; this is an interesting question.

I'd be curious to know what the various fellas thought of the various albums. For example, did Bruce dislike SiT because none of his songs got used? Or, since we know Nicko didn't like Blaze, did he also dislike the Blaze albums?

I'd love to search through old interviews to find the answers to this question, but I'm not at home and can't do so right now. So if anyone else can come up with a good answer, I'd love to read it.

Do you really think any of the boys would be honest in interviews? Every artist says that his last album is the best they've done so far. Maiden are no exception.

What they REALLY think is THEIR business, don't you think?

I submit to Maverick's oppinion.

This question is NOTHING like the example you posted. I find it interesting actually to read about what Steve/Bruce/Adrian/Janick/Dave/Nicko think about their previous work. The question you offered was nerdy and pointless...no one will glean anything from an answer to that question. People may discover something they didn't know in THIS thread, as I have just done.

I don't get what your problem is.

The Maiden team will NEVER tell their true feelings about the albums in interviews. Read what I posted higher up.

When I met Smallwood at Reading he offered the thoroughly ambiguous "Different albums have different stuff on them." when I asked him.

Although, after some deliberation, he said that Dance Of Death was excellent.

In fact, they would NOT tell the complete truth and expose their personal feelings about any of their albums. Anyway, if they worked on it, I don't really know for what reasons they could talk badly about their work. You know what I mean... they can add comments on it, see what was going """"wrong"""" so they could improve it in the next one etc...

Anyway, I don't think that any Iron Maiden member would tell the complete truth about their albums and especially about what they think... you know, it's personal, and it could be a bad image for the band, since interviews could be commercial.
Although, it's a nice question, not sooooo interesting, but c'mon Mav, take it easy mate... don't make a big deal out of it... it's just a question after all. See you all in Paris
