Austria's Joerg Haider Dead

So, last night Joerg Haider of the BZOe (far right party of Austria) passed away in a car crash.

And my reaction? Good riddance. I can't summon up the least bit of remorse, or acknowledge that the man was a great Austrian politician. In my opinion, he would have been the next Hitler given half a chance and the world (and Austria) is well rid of the man.

Are we truly rejoicing over this man's death, as much as we might have disagreed with him?

After looking up some of his prior "accomplishments", I was a bit unnerved at how he liked to romance the Nazi regime to the end of his career.  I can see why he would be hated.

I have my moments when I'm ashamed of my joy. But this was truly a man the world didn't need.

I'm not sad that he died, but I'm not happy he's dead.

I feel that his mode of death is unfortunate and I would not wish that kind of death upon anyone. However, I also feel that his death will do more good than harm for Austria (as long as they don't get nostalgic over him because his death actually put Austria in the world news for a couple seconds).

His party still exists. Might grow even, we'll see what effect his death might have.

I agree here. It's a bit of an odd emotion you tend to feel when a person like that dies.
