Are you drinking enough water?

Well, the water in Canada is pretty good...even so, Brita filters for the win.

Perun, it could just be the pipes in your building.

It's the pipes in the complete area, methinks. I live 10 mins away from work, where the water is even worse.

[!--QuoteBegin--][div class=\'quotetop\']QUOTE[/div][div class=\'quotemain\'][!--QuoteEBegin--]Oh, sorry. Well, Britain has crap water too.[/quote]

there is nothing wrong with the british water, in some cases it can taste better than the bottled stuff they give you.

Well. The water I get is really bad. I live in Devon. Which is a place where farmers put a label saying water on milk bottles to get around the milk quotas. No, but really, it is really bad water. Why do you think everyone has Britta filters.

The water here in NS is clean enough to drink directly from most streams and small rivers. The St. Lawrence/Great Lakes and alot of Upper Canada needs boiling for at least 5 minutes before it's safe to drink.

I know one person who does, but it takes away the taste of the water.

Depends... water is well... simple to say the least. However, depending on the filter you buy it may taste better or worse. Also depends the bottled water you buy because many companies if not most ADD minerals to the water and trust me, it makes a difference. Now they are releasing "flavored" water which isn't too bad but it reminds me of when you drink lemonade and you are to lazy to rinse out the glass you just fill it with water and drink it and it has that lingering lemon taste.

Fruits are VERY tasty, compared to vegetables which rarely are...

Flavored water is the only water I drink voluntarily.

Good, that means the filter is working. Pure water is tasteless; a simple H2O molecule will not trigger any of the taste receptors on the tongue.

Conversely, if your water has any taste at all, no matter how slight, it's not pure.

As far as getting my water in the summer: iced tea all the way, baby. Just ask Perun.

SMX! You know you're not supposed to remind recovering iced tea addicts.....of their need for a fix...

I remember drinking some demineralized water (pure DHMO), and it was all but tasteless, more or less reminded me of dust... might be my tastebuds that are screwed up, or I'm just more used to tasting "normal" water. I can, however, taste the difference when the water isn't as "hard" (contains less Calcium) as where I live.

edit: I do agree that it won't trigger any tastebuds, so if you put a clamp on your nose, it would be tasteless.

Well, water here might be bad or not. I don't drink tap water for about 2,3 years, but back then i remember i had very often tummy aches and since i stoped drinking it, i feel better. But it might be just me, my stomach's very sensitive
However, back in Romania, the main type of water we drink is en-riched (is that a word?) with CO2. Borsec, my water of choice was voted best water in the world last years. It's about 6000 lei a litre (about 0.16 euros) Pretty good.

Dude, I know English isn't your first language and I'm an ass for laughing at that sentence. But it's kinda funny they way you worded it. I know exactly the meaning you were getting at, but the word 'tummy' is generally only used by small children...which makes it funny when you posted it. I dunno...sorry, but it's true

(by the way, your English really is quite good. You have a better grasp on grammar and spelling than most native speakers on these forums do! [!--emo&--][img src=\'style_emoticons/[#EMO_DIR#]/headbang.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'headbang.gif\' /][!--endemo--] I wish I knew a second language as well as you do.)

[span style=\'font-size:8pt;line-height:100%\']LC: Edited for improper English grammar. Wirtanan would be ashamed![/span]

Onhell, you were absolutely right. After i read your post, I started drinking larger quantities of water. And it works like a charm! My breath is freseher and I feel a whole lot better!

Ironduke- I know the conotations and meanings of the words tummy, but i couldn't find a synonim fast enough in my mind and i was pressed by time, so I just decided to use it. BTW, thanks for your complliments. I also speak a third language, french, but I can't handle it not even close to english.

No problem dude, glad to be of service somewhere in the world [!--emo&:D--][img src=\'style_emoticons/[#EMO_DIR#]/biggrin.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'biggrin.gif\' /][!--endemo--]
