Well, I was about to answer that the lyric booklet also calls Damocles "Damacles", and that I don't consider them authoritative over what Bruce sings... but I just listened to it again and I am now sure that he does sing "of".

Isn't that just commonly spoken slang? I'm not a native speaker, I noticed this though and always thought it's just the way average folks speak.
