Any chance they'll return to US in 2011 for the actual album tour?

I loved the AMOLAD tour myself. I can't say I'd want to see them do that again though, especially since I haven't heard Final Frontier yet.

Most folks here in the states hated that they played the whole album. I'm spoiled i saw them for the 39th time here in NYC on July 12th. So i would love for them to play the whole new album live. At this point in their careers they are in it for the love of the game, they write new material, they want to play it. If not the whole album then most of it. Maybe a limited NA tour in smaller venues. DOD tour here was 4 nights (4th night was canceled last minute) at the Hammerstein Ballroom. Was awesome seeing them in a smaller venue.

Well most bands talk about the connection with the audience in smaller venues. Hammerstein holds about 4,000, 4 shows because it's NY and there are tons of people in the area. Smaller venues because most here in the states want to hear the same old songs over and over again. So they will be catering to the fans who don't dwell in the past. I would be willing to bet the next time they are here in the states the set is dominated by songs from the Final Frontier.

They have already stated they will play 5 or 6 songs off the new album in various interviews. They will be back for their standard 15 -24 dates in the U.S.
As far as Boston shows, I live here and always just make the trip to the surrounding cities for shows. Even if you don't drive it's not as if we don't have tons of affordable methods of transportation from Boston to NY and back. The Penn Station stop is right at Madison Square Garden, and both the bus and Amtrak trains stop there. I'm lucky enough to have a free parking spot in NYC, but if I didn't, $60 for a round trip bus ticket isn't too expensive. Plus NY and NJ kick our ass as far energetic audiences which always leads to better shows.
You could get on a train to NY at 2:00 PM and be on a return train by 11:45. Yeah you wouldn't be home until 3:30, but you just sleep on the ride.

How many concerts to small venues have you been in? I'll take that over a 20,000 capacity "stadium" any day. That's what I love about tucson, no matter what venue bands play at you are always at most 12 feet away from the stage and you can always squeeze your way to the front, participate in the mosh pit or not and feel the bass hit your chest.... now THAT'S an experience.

Live DVD with full orchestra being recorded or not. I had the money, I just couldn't justify spending it.
I looked everywhere for a deal but couldn't find one. I will say that often those tickets don't sell and then you just have to go to the show and hope you find the broekrs with those tickets looking to dump them off at face value. I've had a lot of success with that too.

I'm saying they will go for way more than double. I'm from NYC as well and family still lives there, huge bands at Radio City always cost an insane amount. It's simple supply and demand. When a band that can fill an 18,000 seat arena like MSG chooses to play a legendary venue that seats 5500 prices get inflated 10 fold. That show would sell out within an hour raising the demand for tickets even more. You'd have the whole Tri-State area, all of New England, and die hard Maiden fans from across the globe trying to get tickets, it would be insanity.
