Twilight. For me a generic AA opener. Doom is a special song with haunting passages and other qualities that its opponent lacks.

Thanks to all the voters! I'm not satisfied obviously, hopefully the next edition will be better in terms of results :P

Cheers for hosting! I wasn't comfortable with Twilight winning, but I prefer it to Doom, and it kind of sums up Amon Amarth better than Doom too. :)

Thanks for hosting Night Prowler!

I've hardly disagreed so much with an outcome in a survivor. Only the first Sabaton survivor topped this I guess (and perhaps the current Nightwish ;) ).

I noticed I am more into the slower -midtempo (or slower)- Amon Amarth. In these songs there's this inner strength, this brooding awesomeness coming from the riffs, excellent melodies and threatening moods. When the band goes fast, imo it gets more generic, like many other (death/trash) metal bands do. Heaviness and speed is cool, but to me, sometimes it's not more than surface. I am looking for more. I can find it on most AA albums, so I am very happy to have discovered these, thanks to this game!

It's weird, cause I generally agree with you regarding their midtempo songs, yet it seems like we were always voting for different things. Part of the reason I don't like the earlier albums (other than the vocals) is because they sound like more typical, generic death metal.

I am ok with this top 10. Some songs got murdered early (Stabwounds, ...And Soon, Victorious March, Destroyer), but all the songs are pretty good. And I do seem to favour the faster stuff here overall, although Amon Amarth do a very good mid-paced song as well. And cheers NP.

Not always. I might have had more differences in voting with others.
