The Ultimate Sin is just so iconic, I had to give it the 3 points and yeah you know.... own nomination bias and the Top 2 seems allready far out of sight anyway. For places 2 and 3 it was between the simple but effective Cooper and my own nomination Eldritch. Headquakes surrealistic cover got my attention in the record store (and was in the monthly Top 10 of the metalzine I read back then) and I loved that cover from the day I bought it.

Why was the last Round so short?

Tygers Of Pan Tang's Crazy Nights is cartoonish, but the idea is cool and works with the great colors. Megadeth's Peace Sells... But Who's Buying is another striking cover by them and the colors really help imo. The Ultimate Sin should have been better.

Destroyer album cover is iconic and helped make the album such a juggernaut. You gotta remember this was back in the mid 70s and that album cover pushed boundaries and raised the bar for what album artwork could be. Magic.

Awaken the Guardian is not a particularly good album cover but it looks so kitsch and sci-fi b-movie-like that it has a certain charm you won't find anywhere else! Fits perfectly with the band at the time.

Lore - toss up between this and Transcendence but went with Lore at the end because I suppose it has a little more depth to it.

Why was the last Round so short?

The previous was from wednesday morning to thursday evening. The other from thursday evening to saturday morning and there were no more votes so I guess the length was around the same.

I don´t own the album but the artwork is great. If I ever find it cheap on vinyl it´s a nobrainer purchase.

The Ultimate Sin should have been better.

I just love it. It might be a little over the top but it was perfect for the 80´s.

I love the background colours.

I prefer the previous album: the awesome blue Spectre Within!
