A big shout out to out bro @Vaenyr's album art. It's like what Scarecrow should look like in Batman movies/games, though I'm not aware of the real meaning behind it. Awesome!
 
Another strong match, even Megadeth has its charms (I love the use of colours! Very comicbook style) and I almost gave it 1 point but thought about punishment from the Painkiller for not giving points to Priest. :help2:

Anyway, this might be an exciting one!
 
I like the lower half of Megadeth’s cover, but Vic looks either too big, underdeveloped, or… something just feels off to me.
 
I think Vision Of Atlantis' The Deep & The Dark is probably one of my favorite covers. It's a little more realistic and the background makes it all work. The colors work perfectly. Such ancient covers that tell a story are just perfect for me. Painkiller is cool and impactful, but it could have been better (the background, the sky; the colors fit). Crimson Thunder has always been a little too cartoonish for me, but it's nice.

No More Mr. Nice Guy is an interesting idea and great great colors, but Vic is boring here. Too bad. Mirror Reaper should have been better.

Wow, cool round. First off, I like Into Denial despite its simplicity, although the font is weak. I LOVE Megadeth’s cover. The style reminds me of cheesy 80s horror movies that I’m a big fan of. Hammerfall is obviously the weakest contender with its basic blue-vs-orange opposition. Painkiller is cool, though I might be biased because it was my favourite album at one point. Still, the lower half of the cover is very good indeed. Then comes Atlantis, which I like as well, but it might be a tad generic compared to others. And then Bell Witch - WHAT! - that is so freaking cool and gloomy, it has depth and story and space where it needs it.

I almost want to hate Mirror Reaper's art because of how ubiquitous it is in cover art discussions, but I can't. The size difference alone already gives me the dwarfing feeling you get when standing next to a skyscraper.

Mirror Reaper doesn’t just have a great cover, it’s a really good album as well, a eulogy in the form of one incredibly lengthy funeral doom track (and IIRC with no guitars, just bass). Makes me wish I hadn’t missed the submission deadline cuz I woulda had three Ahab albums in here too lmao.

Kind of tough to pick my third favorite here because Into Denial, Visions, and HammerFall are about equal in not wowing me, but being solid covers. I went with HammerFall in the end because I kinda dig the colors and the camp. Also not Vaenyr once again being diabolical. :ninja:

I kind of think this Megadeth cover is bad.
