Adrian's New Band!!!

Sikth and Vacant Stare singers can sing well when and if they want to. I feel the band will follow Psycho Motel's style.

A friend of mine is a big fan of Sikth and Vacant Stare, I think that he even used to be in contact with members from both bands.

Side projects like this make me a little nervous... I'd prefer to see 100% committment to the band that matters...

Especially with H. After all...ASAP....

But to be honest? I don't mind if he runs out now. I don't think he will, but you never do know.

Maiden currently has nothing going on until their tour starts next year so I wouldn't worry too much about it. Bruce did TOS while still in Maiden and look where we are now. :)

Man, as much as I think Dave and Janick are guitar gods, Adrian was really missed by yours truly when he was absent...

Not really my cup of tea, Travis.  I like the guitars and the bass, but the vocals are ugh ugly!  In other words, H's new project probably won't be liked by yours truly.

nicko drums with an another band while not on tour so i dont see why adrian cant practice between tours. If this keeps H fresh then im happy for him to do it.

I think i read somewhere that dave doesnt even pickup a guitar between tours, unless they are writing an album)

I think Adrian has too many musical ideas and fire to just sit around and do nothing for 4-5 years until Steve decides to do the next Maiden album.

Psycho Motel was also a nice blend of some alternative metal, straight up blues licks and some psychedelic rock thrown in as well. I can see this work if they make an attempt at doing some alternative metal, rock n roll kind of stuff....Though I would be surprised to see Adrian in a screamo fronted band. I hope Adrian will sing, but thats probably not very likely  :p

The band is called The Primal Rock Rebellion; with this name, I can see a band playing covers from their old heroes.

An official statement proclamation from the office of His Holiness Adrian Smith has been issued:

Adrian Smith / Sikth Project - A Message
Published: November 25, 2010

Following the many news stories and speculation on metal websites around the world over the last couple of days, Adrian called and asked us to explain to you fans more fully about his involvement with The Primal Rock Rebellion, his current side project outside of Maiden.

In between Maiden tours, Adrian continues to enjoy writing and playing the guitar; a couple of years ago he got together with his mate Mikee Goodman (formerly of the band Sikth) to write some songs and see where it led. Liking the results, they have been recording on and off since then and an album of this material - under the working title of The Primal Rock Rebellion - may well see the light of day at some point in the future.

Adrian was keen to stress that T.P.R.R. is not a band, but a studio project with Mikee. The pair had been planning a one-off "under the radar" gig at the Wycombe Bucks Student Union, along with some fellow musician friends, mainly for fun and also to try out some of the material live. However due to the show being inadvertently advertised, it has since become unviable to proceed with this idea. Full refunds are available from point of purchase for anyone who bought tickets. Adrian would like to make it clear he has no touring plans at the moment other than those with Iron Maiden, who embark on an extensive World Tour in early 2011.

As I suspected, Adrian would not be caught dead gigging with this bunch of minnows ;)

You didn't even listen to what they came up with and is already bashing it. Pretty stupid and moronic from your part. Pathetic.

I can't wait to hear with what they cameu up with. It might be a big surprise as much as a train wreck.

Never could take a joke Jeff could you. Jeez, there was a wink at the end of my post and all. Try to relax, you come across like an idiot.
