Adrian's guitar stolen!!!!

Adrian's new white Jackson has been stolen!!!!

AHHHHHHHHHH!

Apparently after the Athens show someone jacked it.  But it's also a signature guitar, so anyone trying to sell it would probably have to paint and then scratch of his signature on the headstock.

Shame, because that guitar was awesome.

It's this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LHXaoYWW6R4

And a source to back it up:

ADRIAN SMITH GUITAR STOLEN!
Published: August 4, 2008

Adrian's new Jackson guitar was stolen after the show in Athens on Saturday night.

Can all Maiden fans please be on the lookout for the guitar.
It will be extremely hard to get rid of as it's the only one in the world.
There will be a reward of a Maiden tour jacket and I'm sure a hand written letter of thanks from Adrian for anyone with information leading to the recovery of the guitar.

DESCRIPTION:
JACKSON STRAT COL. WHITE ADRIAN SMITH SIGNATURE MODEL, WHITE SCRATCH PLATE
EBONY FRETBOARD
ADRIAN SMITH SIGNATURE ON FRONT OF HEADSTOCK
HUMBUCKER BRIDGE PICK-UP
TWO SINGLE COIL PICK-UPS
RECTANGULAR BLACK MOULDED JACKSON GUITAR CASE.

If you have any info, please contact fanclub[at]ironmaiden.com

This is an OMG moment....OMG!

Now the Greeks really can forget about "their" Alexander The Great. Next time in Athens, I hope that Maiden will play "The Apparition" instead, right after Bruce introduced the song as ATG.  ;)

Sadly, a guitar like this will sell easily on the black market, and never be seen again.

I hope it is recovered quickly; otherwise, it may never be recovered at all.

Maybe this is the punishment for his forgetting the guitar solo in 'Alexander the Great' and the band's refusal to play the song...

I can just imagine it:

"Now... this is a song you might know.  It's a long song.  An epic, so to speak.  It starts with an A, and ends with a word starting with G...

THE ANGEL AND THE GAMBLER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Scream for me Athens!"

Adrian Smith never lets anything of his get stolen. This is all done because...he is larger than all of us.

Since Im tired of those standard Internet abbreviations, I'll write it out in full:

Rolling on the floor, laughing my ass off  :D

The person responsible is already lingering on the edge of death and wishing for the same. H is a loving but vengeful god. He planned this for entertainment I'm sure, you know, 'cause the tour is ending and all and he has already comprised the songs off of the next album ages ago. Nice that he lets the other blokes take credit for some of them though.......

;)

the concert was awesome though, the sound almost perfect,
Rime
was the peak of the night, and hell when I saw the
mummy
I get completely thrilled

everybody was happy after the concert and people were saying it was the their biggest concert EVER in Greece

the 'venue' was perfect for the concert ; situated in plein nature and the forest was making a wonderfull effect along with the lights
you can imagine the thrill as Bruce was annoncing
Rime
by telling
I'm feeling fear -everyone was thinking the'll start playing FotD
and continue telling the big difference with Scandinavia where this time is still day etc

Bruce was in a huge form that night, it's been quite a while (since 2000) that I didn't have see him in such a great form
-in fact this was BEST Bruce that I ever withnessed, in terms of interaction with the public, and physical performance

kudos to the venue : for all atmospheric songs like
Powerslave, FotD, Moonchild, NotB
this venue was just perfect and I regret not to have take some photos to show you how scary and grandiose it was, with these huge trees around the crowd

the only problem was the parking as there was a huge jam after the concert but apparently this happens all the time there

for presuming I would say that it was my second best IM concert after AMOLAD -where I was so thrilled by seeing them playing the entire album alive, it was too emotional

ah, and I had one Mythos for the sake of Deano
...now waiting for the new album
waiting for the Apparition too   :P

Adrian had the white signature Jackson on tonight's show here. Is it the same one, returned, or an identical one...

I'd think he has many copies, but only one is original.  Probably they'd have announced it if they found it.

Well if it's his signature model, he may have ordered couple of them.

No5 you were in Greece????  Damn,  I heard the gig was excelent,  I already regret not going.  Would 've been cool to see you there.  Oh well,  maybe next time  B).

but why you didn't go ?

you didn't had the feel to see
the mummies ?............. Rime ? Powerslave ?
hell I don't get it

I had the thought of contacting you but for one reason I was quite sure that you were not in Greece,
more something like State for studies I thought

Even though this is an old topic, I`d like to point out one thing:

˝There will be a reward of a Maiden tour jacket and I'm sure a hand written letter of thanks from Adrian for anyone with information leading to the recovery of the guitar.˝

Now, isn`t that generous or what? I`m sure those jackets are veeeery expensive...

Well it is veeeery unlikely that anyone will ever find it now.... :P
