I'll vote for the songs that I find less good than 22 Acacia Avenie:

The Prisoner
Flight of Icarus
Die With Your Boots On
2 Minutes to Midnight
Wasted Years
Stranger in a Strange Land
Moonchild
The Wicker Man
These Colours Don't Run
The Longest Day
Starblind

22 Acacia Avenue is my favourite H contribution on The Number of the Beast. Not just that, I think it is the best song Adrian wrote before he focused his creative talents on something called Sea of Madness. In other words, I am talking about the best song he did before Somewhere in Time came out.

An old Urchin song, rebuilt with Steve. And what a great result it became. The song brings tension immediately, with the start of Adrian's threatening riff and we're hearing Bruce on top of it. The song has a very enjoyable chorus. I knew that chorus first from Live After Death (where Bruce hardly sings and where the audience can't be heard well) so it was a bit of a revelation to hear the original.

Later a lot of stuff is happening. The song changes with a more aggressive riff (again introduced by Adrian), a faster tempo and different rhythm, and I love the way the whole band joins him.

Both Dave and Adrian deliver some of their finest solos of the album. Dave's slow solo in Powerslave (stylewise) reminded me of this one, and Adrian's solo in Die With Your Boots On (a bit stylewise but especially the place in the song) sounds like he was inspired by his own co-written track, 22. Time to bring it back on the set again.

Unacceptable.

If I was Moon Child I'd dramatically quit the survivor the moment my namesake got eliminated. Unfortunately, H hasn't written a song called "Mosh" yet. Still got like another year. :ninja:

I can't be responsible for people's bad choices. If you choose an average song for a nickname, you have to be prepared to face the consequences. :p
You can always change your name to TheEvilThatIDo.

I haven't voted for 22, but I can understand. I like the song musically, but like all of the Charlotte series the lyrics just feel out of place for Maiden for me... more like they belong with a band like Motley Crue (yes, I said it!). I'd also say it's an inferior song to a lot of the other work represented here.

That whole echo thing really bugs me too, especially on the live versions "I know a place where you can go! go..go...go..."
