Do a google search for "PHProxy".  Depending on the type of filter, the sites might be blocked, but there are usually a few they've missed.

The school has blocked all pages that let you change proxy server or whatever they do.
 
BASTARDS! What harm is there in visiting a forum? I mean, I understand putting a filter on "sex" (and even that is not necesesarily good either... ask your biology teacher), or "the anarchist cook book" but what is wrong with a forum? That's one of the things I hated about high school, they didn't teach you to think, debate and exchange ideas, supressing the individual and enforcing social conformity... ugh.
 
I think the point is Onhell, that the school see forums as distractions from other work we should be doing. Even though most of us do use forums for debate and intelligent discussions, there are an awful lot of crappy forums that people in schools will think are cool. (The Official BB anybody?)
