Today I had a follow-up appointment with my doctor, following emergency surgery that I had recently. I decided to wear my Powerslave t-shirt, to up the irons a little.

After I had the remaining surgical staples removed, my doctor struck up a conversation about my t-shirt. Turns out she is a Maiden fan as well, which was pretty surprising. I mean, she's about 29, a surgeon, etc. and out of the blue we are chatting a bit about the golden era & the new album.

I wish I knew she was a fan a while back... anyway, it was pretty cool. I have a follow-up appt (final) right before the Boston show. I should see if she is gonna be there ;)

Erm, Maiden have been going for a while, so you should expect the odd older fan (Mav, JackKnife and myself - for example). And it's not that surprising to get the odd professional person in that mix as well.

In 12 years I could be that doctor who is a fan of Maiden. I want to study medecine, so it could well be possible. Besides, the music of Maiden is so universal that I think many people from all walks of life will find something in it, even if it is only a couple of songs, that they can connect to.

There are a few doctors on this forum already, although the only medical one seems to be... Gor:ok:

Doctor, brickie, sparky, bank manager.... so what, eh?

There are some professionals out there who really like Maiden. Once I met a neuro-surgeon who was a guitar player of an Argentinean band.

10 replies so far and not a single reference to "Doctor Doctor"?!?
You people disappoint me ... except Forostar, whose reply trumps all of us.  ^_^
