Hey guys, at the moment, I am suppose to be planning a 5 minute speach on iron maiden,
But- I dont know how to keep the class entertained if I talk about the history, so- I was wondering if any of you people could help me come up with some funny or interesting facts about the band?. help would be nice.

cheers

its english...and the commentry isnt funny facts or information, its everything else!

Sit on the front page and refresh to get lots of Maiden trivia. But a presentation has to be factual, as well.

heh thanks, I asked the teacher afterwords, and she said 2 minutes of the presentation could be a song, or video...I was thinking something catchy and not to heavy like wasted years...but I think the class may appreciate RttH more, what do you think?

If you can't think for yourself, there's very little we can do for you... /sleep.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"-_-\" border=\"0\" alt=\"sleep.gif\" /]

When I was at secondary school we played "Rime of the Ancient Mariner" at English class.

My mother teaches in a private school and in that school one of the subjects available is Classical Studies. A few weeks ago she was teaching about Alexander the Great and she asked if she could borrow the SIT CD to play Maiden's song in class. I obliged and also printed off a copy of the lyrics with footnotes from the IMC.

In other words.: let Maiden do the "talking" and tell a bit of this.:

Hope you can do more than 5 minutes. /wink.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\";)\" border=\"0\" alt=\"wink.gif\" /]

Exactly what I did for my English class. I would recommend this especially if the story is/will be part of the curriculum. I got an "A" for the presentation and simultaneously converted many former non-believers to the ways of Eddie!

/tongue.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\":P\" border=\"0\" alt=\"tongue.gif\" /] We actually don't get to do this presentation in school but my mate did it on RotAM and he got an A. I think it was because the teacher was a huge Maiden fan ::

I once did a paper on Maiden for English, too. I didn't have to present it, though.
Are you allowed to have pictures? Maybe have a poster board with pictures.

So brother of the seventh son, did you give the presentation? If so, how did it go?

I havnt given it yet, still got a couple weeks of planning, so at the moment Im re-reading run to the hills and taking notes

Might I suggest a PowerPoint presentation, if you can get a projector and laptop in? You could show them some of Riggsty's incredible artwork (which should be one aspect of your presentation!) and even throw in one or two videos.

In a school presentation? :: Mate, when I was in school, and that was only two years ago, it was enough to pass a CD or LP cover around...

Yeah, we don't all go to posh schools like you Silky /wink.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\";)\" border=\"0\" alt=\"wink.gif\" /]

News flash, you get projectors in quite a lot of schools now guys
Still, it used to be enough to pass a CD around for people to look at it. We don't have to break with everything just because of the technological possibilities.
