Ebay has become incredibly popular these days. Anyhow, yesterday my friend send me this link, and I was shocked at what I saw.

If you scroll down below the description, you will find some microscopic letters that read "Auction if for photograph only". 400$ for a photograph....wow. That guy is such a jerk.

Hehe look at his feedback, he's done the same thing before by the looks of it. Somebody bid for an empty cardboard box [!--emo&:p--][img src=\'style_emoticons/[#EMO_DIR#]/tongue.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'tongue.gif\' /][!--endemo--]
 
Lesson learned: Always read the fine print before you buy; if the deal looks too good to be true it probably is.
 
I don't think the guy is a dumbass, that IS fine print after all, way at the bottom after the description of the product (which isn't a fotograph) and what seems to be the plea of a financially suffering parent.... not a scammer. So I feel sorry for who bought it but I'm not going to add insult to injury.
 
As a person who got ripped off by fine print himself, I have three things to say:

-Sorry, tough luck
-Hope you learned your lesson
-You should have known better

On the other hand, you don't give technical data like

For an auction on photographs. The person is a criminal. A brilliant criminal, but a criminal.
 
The thing about this is that by us spreading word about it, it will inspire others to do the same thing. Hundreds of "fake" items like this will appear on eBay and some day, far off in the future, something will have to be done about it, or else eBay will become so unpopular nobody will use it.

It's just those few pricks who start doing things like this that spoil it for the rest of us.
 
on the contrary, people will be more cautious and READ the fine print because of this incident.
 
I'm sure this sort of thing has happened before (to Perun perhaps?) but it didn't stop this guy from doing something about it. there will always be somebody gullible and stupid enough to buy something expensive without reading the fine print.

I've seen quite a few pictures with the same naked fat guy beating it in the reflections of objects. I imagine it's a fetish of some sort.
