31.05.2014 - FortaRock, Nijmegen, The Netherlands

What struck me most is that Adrian and Janick had more positive interaction than I am used to see between them. Not (just) Janick teasing (trying to get) Adrian (going), but rather in both directions.

They even
played their at-the-same-time-solos in The Evil that Men Do together, side by side. Perhaps I am wrong but in my memory, ever since they do this song, they'd done that apart from each other.

For me this contributed to the positive and energetic vibe. The band played tight, I hardly noticed a mistake by Nicko (if he even made one).
If I can mention some negative aspects: I did think that at the end (also in the pre-encore set) the band was a bit in a rush, with hardly any Bruce words in between songs.

I had mixed feelings about the
changes in the setlist. Of course it was positive to have some fresh material. Still the amount was small. The best song from Fear of the Dark was replaced by one of the least good song froms Piece of Mind. Not cool. Wrathchild instead of The Clairvoyant isn't exactly an improvement either.

Something else:
In
Aces high I heard that one of the guitar players (I think Adrian but I am not sure) played a higher note, in others words, he created a harmony in the 2nd half of the riff before and after the solos. Very cool that the amigos are still trying things out, also with older songs.

In this version there is another harmonic add-on: during the last riff at 5:13 the third guitar also joins in on the harmony. It's pretty cool:

Same here, 6:33:

Saap, I knew that one (and they still do it), but perhaps it wasn't discussed yet here. :ok: So now again a change!

Thanks Travis, thanks for the link! Unfortunately I haven't used dimeadozen for ages. How does this work again?

I'm downloading it now and I'll have it up tomorrow. It's in FLAC format. If you're not familiar with that, VLC media player can handle it. Or if you want it in mp3, I can convert it.

Foro, I have the show. Is anyone else who went to this show interested or did you get the file from dimeadozen? And what formats would you like? Or should I upload both?

OK, I'm going to put the download links here and just to be safe, I'm putting them in spoilers.

Thank you for all the effort Travis! Downloads went fine! Not good sound (lots of dominant crackling noises, like someone is constantly touching the recording equipment, which makes it hard to listen), but nice for keeps! :ok:
