I stopped listening to Iron Maiden and metal in general after Fear Of The Dark was released. I never even knew Bruce Dickenson left the band until years later when I was browsing the new releases and saw A Matter Of Life And Death and bought it. I loved it so much I went back and got the remaining albums and found out that he had left.

I always thought Bruce would come back at some point but I was surprised and delighted at the news H would return too. A very happy day in my life.

For a short while I thought "what happened around this time in 1989 ..." and then realized that would be 33 years ago
