This was only scenario that gives Croatia chance to enter knockout phase. Mexico put one hell of a game against Brazil. Croatia needed both a morale boost, and a chance to play one half-time without pressure.
The team still lacks compactness, Mandzukic and Perisic were great tonight, but Modric was not on his level, and frankly, Rakitic didn't do anything good. Pranjic was just awful in defense and useless in attacks.

Theoretically, if Croatia-Mexico ends 1:0 and Brazil-Cameroon 0:3, Brazil is out :D
I'd sure love to see that happen.

But then, winner of Cro-Mex will go up against either Chile or the Dutch, so we're screwed anyway.

Could've been a historic result if Croatian players were a little more careful with their finishing.

If Mandzukic scored for 0:5 from that chance, it would be hat-trick, and one with three consecutive goals, that are his first World Cup goals.
It's already a historic result for my country, highest tournament victory ever. Topped 3:0 against Germany at WC 1998.
 
Cameroon are out after two horrible displays. Might have something to do with the fact that they're the team with most Turkish league players on their squad. :p

Second team with the most Turkish league players is Bosnia & Herzegovina but they seem likely to do well.

So far, congratulations to Spain. After the world title 4 years ago, they are yet fighting really hard for another title.
 
Colombia, along with Netherlands, are the most exciting team of the tournament so far. Juan Cuadrado should make a big move after the tournament, fantastic player.

Every time England are about to play a decisive game at championships, I have this image in my head of an acquaintance of mine, walking along the streets, chanting this, dressed in nothing but the English flag.
 
2-0 Colombia! The first half was so boring, but the 2nd has been very exciting. :) Ivory Coast have got a very hard job now to come back...

The 1st half was so dull, but it exploded in the 2nd! Ivory Coast deserved something out of the game I feel, but great, great game!
