Well, 24 months is the maximum suspension they could have given him, in that light, 4 months is pretty weak...but still, better than the previous fines (which he probably laughed off) that he got from the previous incidents...

Alongside this 4 month ban he also has to pay 100.000 Swiss franc.
 
Pepe intentionally kicked a player in the head and he was banned for 8 games only. Suarez bit a player for the 3rd time and he receives a 9 match ban + he's gone for 4 months. I think media pressure plays a role here. I'm not saying Suarez didn't deserve the fine, but there's some hypocrisy going on. Kicking a player in the head is much more dangerous than biting a player in the shoulder. Biting is extravagant, but in terms of danger, it doesn't even compare.

I think Suarez should have got a year ban myself for the third offence. 4 months is too lenient.

Ghana -3
Portugal -4

USA tying. Still all the same.

Considering both teams would be just fine with 0-0, I think the game has been open and both teams trying to get something.

However, with Portugal 1-0 up, the loser of Germany vs USA will still go through provided they don't lose badly.
 
I think Germany are saving Goetze by keeping him on the bench. They'll bring him on near the start of the second half to punch some holes in USA's tired defence.
 
Actually USA has another advantage, so far, number of goals scored (4-3 to both Portugal and Ghana).

Even if the USA loses 0-4, Portugal needs to score more than one. (i wasn't talking about Ghana, of course here).

In conclusion: IF the USA can't achieve the 1\8 with all this, then they really are bad at soc... er, football. :p
