Kind' of disagree. Spain is much slower now than 4 years ago. Besides, Casillas is proving now that he's an overrated goalkeeper and Puyol was really the main structure of their defense.

The Netherlands are a skillfull-fast team, enough to destroy their defense.

Well I didn't see that coming at all! I expected a pretty dull match and a narrow Spain victory. This is beyond my wildest dreams. I've seen Robben and van Persie have some pretty shit performances for Holland but they were both excellent tonight and almost antagonistically the Spanish centre-backs and goalkeeper were dreadful. It seems that Casillas is not the goalkeeper he once was and perhaps Mourinho was right to drop him. Casillas should probably form a team with Steven Gerrard.

So the film should probably be Karate Kid II: Knockout Blow.

That was a fucking GORGEOUS display of football we just witnessed. Netherlands are now a team I cheer for in this tournament, what a thing of beauty combining passion and skill was that.
 
The end for Casillas or the end for Del Bosque?

Will The Netherlands play so easily again with a better defense? Their attack line with two 30 year-old men looked like they're playing against the kindergarten.
 
I can't help feeling sorry for him. He seems to have lost it since he left Liverpool, and it's now gone beyond the point where I have no more Schadenfreude left for him. He never seems to enjoy playing - he seems depressed.
 
We've had some dramatic games so far. When will we have the first snore-fest of the World Cup? England vs Italy certainly has the potential.

I was expecting Spain-Holland to be a snore-fest because of Spain. :P Italy-England does have potential though. With traditional Italian tactics and Roy Hodgson.

Greece are playing tomorrow though. :yawn:
