The two tracks that didn't click with me right away were "Lost in a Lost World" and "Death of the Celts," but they've grown on me quite a bit since those first listens. I think I like "Lost" more, mostly thanks to the Moody Blues influence, but "Celts" is sounding more and more like a song the...

Okay, I'll bite: what's Iron Maiden? :wtf:

I’m actually having surgery early this week, so my listening habit for a new Maiden record will be quite different. This was by design, though. I could’ve elected to have the procedure a few weeks ago, but having time off work as a the record arrives was very, very enticing.

Nicko came close to divulging his favorite track off Senjutsu, but got sidetracked. Bummer.

Rolling Stone promised an in-depth interview with Bruce close to the album’s release, so I wouldn’t be surprised if a review was an addendum to that.

I saw that Anthony Fantano (aka The Needle Drop) really hated “Stratego.” Called it one of the band’s absolute worst songs. He’s usually a fan of their rockers, so I thought he might dig it.

Probably a COVID thing. A bunch of reviewers were herded into a room at once for TBOS, if I’m remembering correctly.

Looks like I'll have to squeeze out of work for a bit. :p

What has me particularly excited from the reviews we've seen thus far is the variation of what songs critics like the most. Balazs, for instance, is the first I've seen that really loves "Death of the Celts." We seem to have plenty of options as far as bests are concerned.

I did some sleuthing, but no luck.

I'm definitely intrigued at "Stratego" possibly being the next single. I think the last Gers single was "Out of the Silent Planet," so it's been a minute!
