Re: 'die With Your Boots On'
Interesting to read the commentary on this song and what people have written here. I got thinking about this song today while listening in the car..
I think this is relevant, but I don't think the song has that much to do with war as people have said here.
It...
another thing that makes Maiden such a great band! Its not just the lyrics that tell a story.
The longest day is very good in that respect, the instremental parts are almost like a soundtrack to a film. Nicko's drumming after "the cliffs erupt in flame" give a very clear image too
Pachendale...
yeah i'm looking forward to this...they are sounding really good on the preview video's
Great to have them on TV..shame its not a better timeslot on C4 though -_-
i heard the interview on planet rock last night....(where it was first announced)
basically..its gona be a greatest hits set from Iron Maiden through to A Matter Of Life and Death. He said they were not going to focus on the 80s like some predicted
thats the impression i got...but he did say...
this was my first Maiden show, and it was amazing :D
Trivium....hmmmm. I'm not a fan but they seemed to play ok, their sound wasnt that great for me...all i could hear was drums and a few guitar solo's..but my brother seemed to like it...
I really liked the set list and the crowd responce...
Iron Maiden - Prowler
Killers - Murders On The Rue Morgue
The Number Of The Beast - 22 Arcacia Avenue
Piece Of Mind - Revelations
Powerslave - Aces High
Somewhere In Time - Sea Of Maddness
Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son - The Evil That Men Do
No Prayer For The Dying - No Prayer For The Dying
Fear...
i'm not a big fan of Blaze either...(sorry Blaze fans)
but try the Rock In Rio versions of Clansman, Sign Of the Cross....and the Death On the Road version of Lord Of the Flies...
they sound great with Bruce IMO
ok..back to "who is benjamin breeg" for a second..
on the artwork it says on the tomb stone he died in 1978, which according to the article many presumed fake is the year he went missing

so maybe it could be real..?
hey who wants to try and tab this...like now
heres the main heavy riff (i'll let people good at guitar do the rest)
E:-------2-3-----------------------
B:-------2-3------------------------
G:-------4-5---------------------
D:-------4-5------------------------
A:---22-...
Firstly i think the song is amazing...10/10
But for those wondering about the lyrics...somebody has surely posted this somewhere...?

Well done to Lordi and Finland, really great to see them win...their performance just killed everything else...
How many Lordi copies next year then...?
I'd love to hear em play Out of the Silent Planet....
Something suprising off 7th Son and Somewhere in time.....Only the Good die Young and Sea of Maddnes..? :: [img src=\"style_emoticons/[#EMO_DIR#]/biggrin.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\":D\" border=\"0\" alt=\"biggrin.gif\" /]
"I'd love to hear a Deep Purple cover."
that would rule...
Bruce sang 'Black knight' with some band on a special edition of his 6 music rok show once....would be fantastic to hear it played by some people who can manage the solos and stuff....ie Maiden.
So what is it...?
Mine would be either The Sheriff of Huddershield because its so hilarious...and its also a good song..... or maybe Reach Out...its so different to any other Maiden song and it cool to hear Adrian singing...
