So much for Nicko remaining a member of the band

I agree, I don't think his drumming was anywhere near the catastrophe some around here were making it out to be. Though there were some errors, they weren't any better or worse than Bruce's timing and lyric issues so, if Nicko were being serious, he'd have no right to say it. Like I said, it's...

So much for Nicko remaining a member of the band

It's just Nicko's British humour. Bruce himself referenced his own mistakes in the recent video marking the end of the tour, I doubt he'd be that cut up over Nicko's comment. And, even if it was due to health problems, Nicko made his fair share of errors on the last tour so he hasn't got much...

So much for Nicko remaining a member of the band

No hurt feelings over here, I just think we need to think a bit more clearly before we start running wild with rumours of arguments and ill-will within the band when we don't have any evidence to suggest that's the case.

It says the date of termination was the 7th December and this form was "received for filing" on the 2nd July. Sounds like the termination has been official since December and this form wasn't filed, and thus able to be viewed by randos on the internet, until now. I'd actually like some more...

So much for Nicko remaining a member of the band

100% agree. No disrespect to Nicko at all, I certainly noticed the differences in Simon and Nicko's playing and would say Nicko is a more competent drummer (not that I'm a big authority on drums anyway), but I never felt there was anything "missing" from the show at all.

So much for Nicko remaining a member of the band

Which one? The one that said "Nicko, we all love you too!"? The one that said "Thank you for being an irrepressible force behind the drum kit for 42 years and my friend even longer", "You are deserving of all the accolades I'm sure these fans will give you", "the band and I all have a thousand...

Rank all 13 Event Shirts 2025 Europe best to worst – (all images revisited inside)

The UK one is actually pretty great, I'm disappointed I didn't see that sooner as I'm not keen on the London one. Germany might be my favourite, despite being the most understated. The hole in the wall being Germany-shaped and the colours of the fire and the sky making the German flag is a cool...

Create your own Iron Maiden setlist!

Started throwing together a playlist of Maiden songs to jam with on guitar the other night, realised it could be a pretty cool setlist The Final Frontier Speed of Light 2 Minutes to Midnight Stranger in a Strange Land The Writing on the Wall No More Lies The Reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg The...

Iron Maiden in the strangest places

I walked past someone painting their fence while I was at work today and I'm 99% sure they were listening to Live After Death. I caught the end of one song and the start of the next, I could definitely hear eighties Bruce and crowd noise. The first song may have been The Trooper, the next song...

Angry Metal Guy reviews Senjutsu...4 years later

I remember seeing videos of Senjutsu opening the Legacy of the Beast shows and finding it very odd to see the guys just kinda wander out onto the stage instead of in a big explosion of energy, it was also kinda disheartening to see that the band were finally showing their age. Then, The Future...

Explain a Maiden song as poorly as possible

It's like, really long, and it's got this real quiet intro, then it gets loud, then he says the same words a few times, then the singing stops for a bit, then it comes back then it gets real quiet again.

RUN FOR YOUR LIVES 2025 Tour Thread *SPOILERS INSIDE*

He's British, baby, those are the real deal :D (I'm British too don't @ me) Related note, a friend of mine is a singer and she said her singing voice changed quite noticeably when she had her teeth straightened, she didn't like the way it sounded so won't have them done again.

Iron Maiden in the strangest places

You sure? Apparently it's ninth and there's been some discussion as to why that might be. To a Maiden fan, no, Wasting Love, Be Quick or Be Dead, Bring Your Daughter, or any other single isn't a deep cut. In the context of what I'm talking about, British tea-time game shows and the type of...

Interesting chords/key/musical ideas in maiden songs

The Parchment's another odd one that borrows notes from the Phrygian and Phrygian Major scales, using the G and G# respectively.

Iron Maiden in the strangest places

To the general non-metal listening public anything that's not Run to the Hills or Number of the Beast is a deep cut. I think most people would struggle to name Bring Your Daughter to the Slaughter and it was a Number 1 hit..

Iron Maiden in the strangest places

I remember hearing Maiden questions on the radio Popmaster but it was never anything as deep as TAATG or Be Quick. The quiz show Pointless has had a round on Maiden songs before too, it was a fill-in-the-blanks question with five Maiden song titles, all the well-known singles though.

Interesting chords/key/musical ideas in maiden songs

Powerslave is a bit of an odd one. The main riff mostly fits A Phrygian using A, C and Bb power chords for the galloping part but the last phrase uses a C# instead of C.

Fellow (even former) redheads have gotta stand together  I still listen to Riot! a lot, it's killer, but I haven't really loved anything they've put out since "Monster". I suppose the pop-punk sound couldn't last forever.

Eh, it's doubtful but not entirely implausible, quite a few modern pop artists like some metal.

Here's a random something, Paramore's Hayley Williams performing in shorts with (half of) the Megadeth logo on them. Is she a secret Megadeth fan or is it some fashion brand that used the logo 'cause it looks cool? Probably the latter.
