I think TBOS is the strongest song apart from the tempo of the first half. I sped the first half up in Audacity (retaining the pitch ofcourse) by 20% to see what it would sound like and it sounds so much better. Really brings it to life. If they play it live I bet it would sound more like that.
I love the production on AMOLAD which was pretty very simple too. They had that "live sound" they are going for these days, but it sounded very cohesive, creating a very solid sound.

I agree, Man of Sorrows was the only song that resonated with me on first listen Probably the most "Maiden" song on the album. The rest fell flat on me.
So... am I the only one that is dissapointed here? I've been reading nothing but praise so far, but I think this is a major step down from AMOLAD and even TFF. It all sounds very unfocused. Where are the catchy harmonies? All I hear are single guitar licks, barely any twin or triple guitar...
