JUDAS PRIEST ALBUM RANKING GAME: #6 REVEALED

Never gelled with me. A lousy production hampers the strong stuff whilst weaklings perish. Possibly my least favorite of the '70's.

    #1 in the '70's, top 5 overall.

Getting Sn after Unleashed it felt weak, but now I enjoy its whimsy. #2 in the '70's.

I thought Panic Attack was about governmental psyops on civilian populations but what do I know?

JUDAS PRIEST ALBUM RANKING GAME: #6 REVEALED

Production by Guthrie, who totally outshone Mackay on the dull sounding Stained Class, making for an enjoyable half hour. Got it 3rd favorite in the '70's

I prefer every album ranked below this. 3-4 good songs, the rest dire.

JUDAS PRIEST ALBUM RANKING GAME: #6 REVEALED

Ditch plodding Prophecy and pointless Conquest, add Alone and the hilarious title track and you've got an excellent 1st disc. The rest's okay, but to start with the most boring track and insist on playing it live, doomed.

JUDAS PRIEST ALBUM RANKING GAME: #6 REVEALED

I like Redeemer alot, more than Firepower, less than Shield. Dragonaught(on vinyl sleeve back and inner) or Dragonaut(on label and sleeve lyrics)?

    Judas Priest

It’s no slur on Faulkner, he’s an excellent player whose writing and playing on the last three records have been exceptional. Live he’s the main focus besides Halford and works hard. He maybe a more technically proficient player than KK. But it’s not about technical ability for me, it’s...

JUDAS PRIEST ALBUM RANKING GAME: #6 REVEALED

I was one foot out of the door after Turbo, Johnny B Goode had me running for the border, so I picked this up cheap late '90 after Painkiller. It's got some lesser songs but I think I prefer it to its successor. Title of each are even to me. Iron> Meltdown, Skies better than anything else pk...

Judas Priest/Saxon/Uriah Heep 21/3/24 I don’t, and probably never will own any Uriah Heep material, but they were great fun. An excellent opener, sounded great. Might buy a keyboard just to bash my elbows on it. Saxon is why I’m here. Loved and left them twice since ‘80, now it’s ‘til death...

Sorry about that. No guarantee it'll be played again though.

The most I've enjoyed a JP album in 40 years. Miss the duelling leads but Richie's playing is well tasty. Unclear of the machine/human ratio, probably bad like everything else nowadays, but considering the health scares I'm more than happy this even exists. It's a belter. Roll on London with Saxon.

An adverse reaction to a phony painkiller? Sad to see. Get well soon. Loving KK's Priest. Nice switching of gears with great playing/sound throughout. Much prefer to Firepower which, apart from Firepower and Heroes, was very tame.

Countdown to Senjutsu. 17 albums in 17 days.

Senjutsu. The first four reunion albums were generally like a good square meal, not the gourmet delights of the '80's fine cuisine, but solid and enjoyable enough, whereas Book was the equivalent of a bowl of gruel. Senjutsu feels like a bag of Skittles, or a box of chocolates! After the...
