- Steve quoted on page 204, 3rd edition, Run to the Hills biography. Steve never intended to force Janick out of the band. At first, he even thought that they would look for a completely new singer and not bring Bruce back, when Blaze struggled on tour.
6:59. Those two guys (Nifelheim brothers) meet Blaze and Steve at Hovet, Stockholm, 1998.
They are also pictured in the original Silicon Messiah booklet.
1. Blaze has been the singer of Iron Maiden (just like Bruce).
2. He now has his own radio show (also like Bruce in the past).
3. Next step: teach the man to fly airplanes
Silicon Messiah got some good reviews from the major rock & metal magazines, and they got to play the main stage at Wacken in 2000, but that wasn't enough to break through and build up a band name.
There wasn't any label support available to buy onto a tour with a huge mainstream metal act. But...
I think they were just happy to finally be able to record with good equipment, a good producer and go on tour. The only member who had been a professional musician before being in BLAZE was drummer Jeff Singer (Kill II this + some session work.)

They actually had A&R people around for Brave New World.
Steve didn't like some of their advice though, so for example the choir vocals on The Wicker Man was cut out from the album version...
It's unclear how much else impact they had on the album. But they are credited in the booklet...
I would give Rainmaker and Dance of Death 9/10 just because of the guitar melodies and solos.
5/10? Come on. That track is excellent. One of Dave's best solos (and lead melodies as well). The guitar melody after the solo is good enough for a top guality hollywood movie soundtrack at the...
