You are right, I totally agree. Let's be clear however: The standing people were at the Montreal venue, not the Quebec one. In Quebec, everyone was standing even for most of Alice Cooper's opening.

Some guys here met Dave and Nicko at a local golf course the day after the show and they were given backstage for the next show in montreal

I think without old vinyls it's pretty hard today to hear the true maiden from that time. I never knew it, personally. I do love Iron maiden and Killer though even tho the production is terrible it emits a huge amount of freedom that empowers me despite having no bruce.
