They still did two shows in NZ in 2016 and one, sold out way in advance, show in 2024.
This time it's a saturday night, greatest hits tour (the first in those parts of the world since 2009), with Megadeth supporting.
There will be 2 shows, no matter what.
Adelaide should sell out pretty fast, it's not even 10k cap.
Brisbane sold out pretty fast last time, so we'll see. I think there is a room for a 2nd show, in case.
Melbourne has a 40k cap, from what I can see. 30k should be doable, beyond that it would be an amazing result.
Sydney is...
Could just be that they need more time to bring the production from there to Australia, but considering last time it sold out way in advance and it's a saturday night, I think there is a big chance
But an arena tour should be longer than this one, which is already immense. And I said before, it will spoil the demand even more for a 2029 tour (since tours must run for at least 2 years to be profitable)
I think the main reason why they're taking a break in 2027 is way simpler: they can't possibly play anywhere. I mean, they can, but the demand would be at his lowest ever. At this stage in their carreer they're not coming back to arenas, also because that would spoil the demand for 2028 as well...
If, God forbid, something happens, then these will be their final shows ever.
But there is no point in naming a year. They might act like they don't know what will happen but in reality they're probably confirming dates already
Why? The way I see it, this is the confirmation Maiden will tour in 2028. If it just was a way to boost tickets sales they wouldn't specify they year (as they were doing before).
Also, let's face it: the 2028 tour is probably already in the making, especially if it's the last one.
