In no way does that mean that won't happen at this particular gig, because again, this is uncharted territory as the festival is an explicit celebration of Maiden. Nor does it mean it will happen, but "Nicko hasn't appeared before" isn't a definitive argument here.

The difference is, Nicko hasn't, by their own admission, entirely left Maiden. Nicko appearing with Maiden thus isn't the same thing as a guest apperance.

I really hope Nicko comes out and plays a few songs. It would be so cool.
