Being driven does not necessarily have to do with how much you have already achieved. Even people who you think have achieved everything can still want more. Bruce is an example; both with Maiden and as a solo artist, he thinks there should be more.

They never stop all Maiden activities for the members' solo projects. And especially Bruce, he wouldn't suffer if he had so much to do. He suffers when he has nothing to do. I can not imagine him complaining that there is a Maiden tour in addition to his solo tour/solo activities.

I agree. We should not be so naive to think Steve would answer such a question completely frank and reveal the current state of affairs at Iron Maiden in such an interview. There will always be other considerations that influence how he answers.

I would be surprised if their support for Europe wasn't a completely unspectacular band.

Just a coincidence? I get it now. Bruce can throw an explosive tantrum over the flares in the first show, which will make the start of the Iron Maiden tour huge headlines everywhere. The remaining tickets will sell out in no time... :D
