    Maiden England Tour 2012/2013!

It was in the news in Edmonton: http://www.edmontonjournal.com/entertainment/Iron Maiden joins Pilots historic northbound plane/7009343/story.html And the shows in Edmonton and Calgary were both brilliant. Calgary looked to be around 90% sold out, and the fans who were there were very...

    Wasted Years Music Video

Welcome. My only advice to a new maiden fan is to do whatever you can to go see them play live.

    Maiden England Tour 2012/2013!

The Edmonton show was fantastic! The band always brings it, but the crowd was exceptionally enthusiastic. It was a hot Friday night, and the arena is on the same grounds where the annual summer fair is located, and half the Maiden crowd was outside in the beer gardens all afternoon, or going for...

recommended newer albums for an old Maiden fan??

I agree. I first heard The X Factor in 1995 and after several listens I decided that I didn't care for it. However, one cold winter night in 2006, while I was waiting for the bus in the pitch black I played The X Factor that I had on my mp3 player (I was bored of all the other music I had on...

One of Bruce's rants has apparently stirred up a lot of hate (SPOILERS)

Bruce is hilarious. Texting through an Iron Maiden show is lame.

Online Petition to get Paul Di'Anno and Bruce Dickinson together with Maiden for 2013

No. No way. Paul is a sad, pathetic shell of his former self. He is overweight, his voice is shot, he can't sing at all anymore, and his health is so poor he can't perform on stage without sitting on a chair for 3/4 of it. On top of it all, the guy hasn't done anything notable after Maiden's...

    Merchandise Sold At Maiden Shows

I always remember that celebrities are just people. If I ever met anyone in Iron Maiden I'd just welcome them to my town/country, tell them that I look forward to their show (or that they just did a great show if it was afterwards), and tell them to enjoy their time here and to keep up the...

    Official Hockey discussion thread

I find it strange how players and agents can talk about their negotiations, but if owners did that it would be considered "collusion".

Don't kill me for saying this...

It sounds like Bruce has a cold on the chorus to 'Mother of Mercy'. I don't know what the deal is there, because he sounds goddamned incredible on 'The Talisman'. Maybe it's just the particular words in the lyrics that make him sound like that? I dunno.

How the reunion happened back in 1999?

I didn't even listen to 'Virtual XI' until 2006. Didn't care much for Blaze, and I have to say that I really hated 'The Angel and the Gambler' and didn't care much for 'Futureal' or 'Virus'. But when I heard Bruce sing 'The Clansman' on 'Rock in Rio' for the first time, it made me revisit...

    Iron Maiden & Killers

On the 'Early Days Part 1' DVD I recall Steve Harris saying something along the lines that he is still very proud of that first album, but was never happy with its sound.

How the reunion happened back in 1999?

I wasn't. In fact, that was some of the best news in my life. I liked Bruce's solo stuff, so I knew he and Adrian would inject some much-needed life back into Iron Maiden. And when I first saw the video for 'The Wicker Man', that was confirmed. I was just blown away and couldn't believe that...

    Albums that clicked later on?

The X Factor. When it first came out I hated it. I sold my CD and forgot about it for a good 10 years. I gave it another shot and bought it again in 2006, and found a new respect for it. I still hate Virtual XI, though.

Could the albums Iron Maiden & Killers be considered "ghetto"?

I think Steve Harris would stab you in a fit of rage if you told him those first Maiden albums sound like punk.... even if it's true.

Don't kill me for saying this...

Yup, no falsetto for Bruce. He uses his lead voice through the whole show, and he does show some restraint so he can do it again the next day. But the guy is a freak of nature to be able to sing like he does in the first place.

Raising Hell vs. Live After Death

    Well this is serious business.

Could the albums Iron Maiden & Killers be considered "ghetto"?

Their debut is very "ghetto" or "streetsy" or whatever you want to call it. 'Killers' sounds like a bastard child of their debut and what we hear on 'Number of the Beast'.

Raising Hell vs. Live After Death

Bruce's singing is all over the map in a lot of places in Live After Death, but there is is a lot of energy, enthusiasm, and fun on stage. What a great concert! For me, Raising Hell is a little bit sad to watch, because back then I thought the band was done and were going to break up. The band...

    City Specific Shirts 2012 Tour

I expect them to have a unique Canada shirt this tour. In 2008 they had a "hockey player" Eddie, and in 2010 they had "snowboarder" Eddie shirts.
