Goddam Steve Stubborn Harris for not including this song in the list between 1999-2017. Imagine this song and vocal performance on Rock in Rio. It would have been considered a legendary performance. There are so many songs they should have done when Bruce came back. His voice was on point.

There is a beautiful sunrise, but apparently we live in a shitty place that the singer can’t to leave.

I enjoyed the song live up until about 2011. I remember listening to En Vivo and thinking he was starting to struggle with it live. Before that he always carried it off pretty well. The Rock in Rio version is iconic. Plus H in drop D! It sounds so heavy.

Empire of the Clouds. I love the ‘Hear lie their dreams…’ verse. It’s just a shame it takes 16 minutes to get there. Man of Sorrows. I just find it a bit bland and doesn’t add much to the album.

What are you go to songs for when you are having a hard time or crappy day? My number 1 choice would have to be Rainmaker. There is just something about this song that clicks with me. I like the message of the lyrics as well. The song always pumps me up.
