This time I voted Maiden, Amorphis, Celtic Frost, Edguy and Devin Townsend, all very different from each other but all really good!

The intro to The prisoner, it’s such a typical early 80’s intro, with loud drums and steady rythmn. Also some parts of Djengis Khan and the verse rytmns in Phantom of the opera is top notch

I think Majestic is their best album after the first three classic lineup albums. It is very solid and heavy to be Gamma ray, and easily the best album from 2005 in my opinion.

The Metallica ones without a doubt

It was a good year for melodic metal. Helloween did an okay album (with a good first single), and Sasca Paeth released his rock opera, very underrated

That’s not an issue, even if the album is not on par with their first two albums

By the way, the Arcturus album The sham mirrors was released in 2002

The Ripper and Blaze era are both very interesting. Poor production but somewhat good songs on the Blaze albums, especially The X factor. The Ripper albums, one pretty good album and one poor, and also two very good live albums/video! So guess I vote the Ripper era. Never heard the Martin...

Glad you like Pain of salvation, they took some time to get into for me, but they are truly amazing. I bought Remedy lane back then just because of a great review in a magazine. They have made quite different albums over the years

I hate both choruses, they sound like they’re patched up with some poor cut and paste job. The songs are actually pretty similar, I've never thought about that. I voted Lighting just because it have a very good intro!
