    Can I Play With Madness?

Fucking great tune, if you ask me.

    Tailgunner

Strong opener from an underrated album. 8/10.

    Wildest Dreams

4 Bland and boring song from one of the worst Maiden albums ever. They got this formula right on the next album with Different World, which I love.

    Different World

Amazing song. Up there with Wasted Years as the best Maiden "pop songs". Similar lyrical theme too and very uplifting.

Dance Of Death - the album

One of their worst albums. Down with VIX and Fear of the Dark at the bottom of the cannon.

Dance of Death: Three years later

Honestly, I probably rank it in the bottom 3 Maiden albums, along with Fear of the Dark and Virtual IX. I like Montsegur and Rainmaker is OK, but the rest of the songs are poor to average. I used to really like Journeyman but it really suffers from the repetitive chorus. Dance of Death the sing...

    Maiden Grammy 2011

The Grammy's is fucking ridiculous. They gave it to Motorhead for a cover of a Metallica song that was stuck on their album as a bonus track. Of all the Motorhead songs they could have picked they choose a Metallica song. Makes no sense to me.

    No Prayer for the Dying

Thank you. I'm a Maiden fan since the 80s and they've been recieving heavy rotation of late due to the Final Frontier being shit hot.

    No Prayer for the Dying

I think that Fear of the Dark is pretty dreadful, although I seem to be alone in liking The Apparition. That is probably because a close friend died around that time and the lyrics made me think of him. I always liked No Prayer though. I like it all except the Assassin. It may not scale the...

Never heard any Maiden podcasts. Which would be the best ones?

    Songwriting Credits

Well, I used to play bass in a couple of bands. There was the guitarist and singer who were the primary writers and I would hear them chatting about them being a songwriting duo. Now, I was never a major songwriter but I wrote my own basslines. Some of these basslines were pretty nice and made...

    Songwriting Credits

I've always assumed that a Bruce credit means a Bruce lyric and usually you can tell that they're his words.

Sweden says NO to no classics! Ullevi still not even close to sold out

Maiden should be applauded. They have balls. While some bands are rivisiting 30 year old albums to play in their entirety, Maiden did just that with a new one. Maiden's attitude to their newer songs live is probably a big part of why songs from the likes of Brave New World are considered...

    Songwriting Credits

I wonder if anyone has any insight into the Maiden songwriting credits. Specifically: 1 - Steve now gets a credit for every song. What do you think this credit usually involves when credit is shared between two or three of them? Is he just now putting his name to other people's compositions...

ITS THE ADRIAN SMITH WORSHIP THREAD!!!!!!

Not only is Adrian Smith a great guitarist and songwriter, he also managed to still look cool whilst donning a mullet in the late 80s.
