Yes Hardwired CD2 is quite bad for this. A pretty bloated and indulgent album. Again some killer stuff, but plenty of fat. Frustrating. And yes Birch was that figure earlier in Maiden's careers, always love that story where he got Bruce to scream 20+ times for the right performance on NOTB.

Hmmm On third listen. I'm still not sure. There's some cool stuff for sure. BOS, IESF EOTC, but a fair amount of it is just not catching me. I don't knowo_O Keep listening of course. But my feeling at the mo, is BNW and AMOLAD are considerably better. I 'll make a more fair assesmant later

F*@king hell. I'm done. Its 4:51 am. Just finished EOTC. My mind is a jumble of mad impressions. EOTC was unbelievable. But such a hard album to grasp. Needs more time. I'll set my alarm for a morning of BOS with coffee :D

I think so. But its soooo much. And its all go go go, barely takes a breath. Wondering if it needs a breath/ or some light and shade somewhere. But I know from past experiences these albums take time to blossom..Think I need a break before I go to the last 3 songs. Phew!
