The original lyric sheet has coming underlined which kind of undermines a lot of it. I'm not a fan of the lyrics for that reason, but like you say, by the standards of 1982 they aren't as misogynistic as they might have been.
Only have Infestissumam and 13. Both good, Infestissumam didn't have the songs of the first record and 13 is hardly an album you pull off the shelf when you feel like putting on Sabbath, but there isn't anything wrong with them
Transylvania
Drifter
No real answer as I wouldn't say I love them, but Invaders and Gangland both get undue stick
Sun and Steel
Back in the Village
Heaven Can Wait
Can I Play with Madness
Hooks in You
Weekend Warrior
Look for the Truth
The Angel and the Gambler
No real answer, if anything people...
Fairly sure that the video footage on my video from back in the day was definitely not all from the same gig, just judging by crowd shots and details from the venues. Not sure what's on the DVD release or the expanded MTV version as don't think I've ever watched either
How is it a wasted opportunity?
They arent restricted to anniversaries to release things. I got the Live and Dangerpus one a few years ago and dont think it was marking any anniversary. They can release a box set in the future if they want, this release wont impede that
Glad they didnt release...
Primal Rock Rebellion is decent enough, British Lion has some great songs but let down by the production, I remember the Van Halen album being fine at the time but I probably haven't listened to it since then.
You have edited my statement there in a way that makes it mean something I didn't intend. I meant "it's ok" as a single statement, and then that as usual since 2004 the lyrics are too dumb even allowing for Mustaine's low bar for lyrics at the best of times.
Really poor stuff, repeating the same anecdotes a couple of times in the article, and not even spelling Zeppelin correctly. I wonder was that to mimic Steve's accent? I have his book Running Free and it's practically unreadable for that cockney slang and spelling
It's ok, as usual with Megadeth since about 2004, the lyrics are even below the level of dumbness I'm willing to allow Mustaine the leeway for. Riff near the end has a bit of The Conjuring end section vibe off it.
Only have Final Frontier and Promise and Terror, I like Promise and Terror a lot it was the only Blaze album that really clicked with me after Jeff Singer left, when he followed it up with losing another band and putting out that Diamond Darrell shite I never even checked out the rest of the...
Senjutsu nearly got number one in America with less sales than those numbers for Virtual XI*
EDIT: *I don't know if those are only first week sales for VXI, but the are probably not, so it's not really comparable to be fair
