I’m on the train down. I’m wearing my Earls Court ‘06 shirt. I’m surprised I still fit into it!
I doubt there will be many more chances to do this. COYI!
I have no idea what they were thinking for the AMOTB tour. It was just the usual classics plus COTD and 5 AMOLAD songs.
Although the band were on fine form, the setlist was turd.
I’m so glad I stopped caring about Maiden t shirts about 12 years ago. I walked into the O2 for the Maiden England Tour, looked at the prices, turned to my girlfriend (now wife) and said ‘Fuck that’.
Since then I have proudly worn either my Coming Home or Earls Court 2006 shirt at every Maiden gig.
I have been thinking about this recently. Are there any Maiden or Maiden-related physical media products you would like to see released or re-released? Of course you can come up with your own desired product!

Maiden England on black vinyl. The picture disc has too much noise! They...
He still has great technique and a fantastic voice. But he doesn’t have the range anymore.
I don’t have a problem with him changing a melody to make it easier on him or for adding interest to a boring melody. There are some great examples of this e.g. No More Lies on Death on the Road...
Robert Plant was 59 years old in 2007. I remember when I first heard Good Times Bad Times from the O2 Reunion gig, I thought ‘Wow they have really down tuned for his voice!’ Of course you they had to. The range of a voice is like a bell curve: You start with fairly limited range, grows over time...
I was at Downlod in 2022. Maiden were great although the opening 3 songs went down like a led balloon. I am glad to have seen Senjutsu and Stratego on that tour, but they should have done the original Legacy set. If they had done Download in 2020 with the original set, it would have gone down as...
To be honest, I loved hearing Another Life and Drifter. They are not winning any songwriting awards but they are definitely songs I associate with the early days. The delay to hear Icarus was a shame. It was epic on the LOTB tour but would have been even better in 1999-2005. TTAL is not one that...
I would say they probably were rehearsed.
I created a thread a few years ago about which tour rehearsal you would like to sit on. I think it would be fascinating to see them try songs that never made the tour.
