Maiden really buried the lead — DoD is as good as any post-reunion Maiden album

These songs are such “album tracks”, and the fact that they were never played live and people rarely talk about them, they’ve become more enjoyable to me. I quite enjoy all of them, especially Gates of Tomorrow. That was always one of my favorites from Dance of Death, along with the usual...

Classic albums and famous bands you don't like

I agree with you about 70s Priest, Sad Wings and Stained Class are incredibly overrated. I think it’s mostly because Rob’s voice sounds thinner in that era. However, I do enjoy Hell Bent and Sin After Sin much more than I used to. 80s Priest is my Priest. The metallic sounding Priest.

Blaze Bayley - The X Factor 30th Anniversary Tour

I’m so sad that Blaze has not toured in the States (not in recent years anyway).

    Best Live Album?

The Book of Souls: Live Chapter. I love the setlist for that tour, and that tour holds a special place in my heart. The band sounds great, especially Nicko. It has my favorite versions of several songs too, including If Eternity Should Fail, Children of the Damned, Powerslave, The Red and the...

RUN FOR YOUR LIVES WORLD TOUR (2025/2026)

Here’s a mini ranking that no one asked for: The Book of Souls > Fear of the Dark > Virtual XI > No Prayer > The Final Frontier > The X Factor > Senjutsu Senjutsu is the most bloated and boring Bruce album imo. It has some good to great songs, but also some real stinkers (Senjutsu, Days of...

    50th Anniversary Documentary Announcement

The Maiden England setlist was amazing for me. It was the second time I saw them, and the first “greatest hits” show I saw. I was amazed and happy to see Moonchild, Seventh Son, The Prisoner, Afraid to Shoot Strangers, etc. Maybe the documentary will pleasantly surprise us, and contain 90s...

    50th Anniversary Documentary Announcement

I do see kids on the internet buying CDs (and sometimes in person too). Seems CDs are coming back a bit.

    50th Anniversary Documentary Announcement

It would be similar to Flight 666, only the songs probably wouldn’t be live. It’s not always about us. A soundtrack could be a good release for the next generation of Maiden fans. Something they could easily find in stores to get them started. Apparently I didn’t get it. Which song are you...

    The Educated Fool

I completely agree. This was the first song from Virtual XI that I really liked (along with Futureal). The vocals are great, the lyrics are inspiring, and I especially like the instrumental + solo section. It hypes me up. I can hear those powerful bass chords from Steve.

RUN FOR YOUR LIVES - The setlist contest

I’m making a bold prediction here with it being mostly chronological, but here goes: The Ides of March (Intro Tape) 1. Prowler 2. Phantom of the Opera 3. Wrathchild 4. Killers 5. The Number of the Beast 6. 22 Acacia Avenue 7. Hallowed Be Thy Name 8. The Trooper 9. Rime of the Ancient Mariner...

IRON MAIDEN: 'Infinite Dreams - The Official Visual History' Book Due In The Fall

I’m accepting the very real possibility that we won’t get anything, mostly due to the quality of Nicko’s performance throughout the tour. Maybe in 15 years when the band has retired. :(

IRON MAIDEN: 'Infinite Dreams - The Official Visual History' Book Due In The Fall

So, looks like it’ll be this book instead of a documentary to coincide with the tour? Looks cool.

    Dream Bruce Dickinson setlist

This is definitely on the long side, but who cares? This setlist is 2 hours and 1 minute. Son of a Gun Tattooed Millionaire Shoot All the Clowns Back From the Edge Accident of Birth Chemical Wedding Jerusalem Man of Sorrows Born in 58 Gypsy Road Change of Heart Re-Entry Arc of Space Darkside...

RUN FOR YOUR LIVES WORLD TOUR (2025/2026)

I think it’s gonna be Prowler. Maybe with Be Quick or Aces as the encore opener. Even though Prowler isn’t a big ol in your face classic opener, it makes sense. They’re going back to the beginning. I think Invaders would be cool as an opener too. That would be a curveball that no one...

RUN FOR YOUR LIVES WORLD TOUR (2025/2026)

Dang! Those floor tickets are only about $120usd. Sucks living here in the USA where the same tickets are about $300 average.

    Saxon

It is definitely a good trilogy! I didn’t actually listen to the trilogy thoroughly until buying the albums. I had listened to The Eagle Has Landed live album with the bonus tracks and I tend to prefer those versions of most songs. For me, I felt like Wheels and Strong Arm blended together...
