I'd love to travel there if it's on a weekend. Otherwise, I'll see them in Athens.
My bet is that they will play Pula (2 times) and potentially one more Balkan gig (probably in an arena) before Athens.
Honestly, I don't think they'll retire. (unless there are health issues we don't know)
They are not even in their 70s yet. Dave and Adrian are pretty static on stage, anyway. Simon is younger. Steve is in great shape. Bruce is such a good singer, he can still deliver (maybe not songs like Aces...
I still think that they will add 2 more festivals ( Sweden and Hellfest probably) and 1-2 more solo dates (probably in the Balkan region).
The European leg is already bigger than what most of us expected.
My favourite Maiden album by far.
1. CSIT (10/10)
2. Wasted Years (10/10)
3. TLOTLDR (9,9/10)
4. SIASL ( 9,8/10)
5. Alex ( 9,8/10)
6. Deja Vu (9,5/10)
7. Sea of Madness (9/10)
8. HCW (8/10)
I've made a weird setlist. I took my 2 fav reunion albums (BNW, AMOLAD) and chose 2 other albums that have similar themes with them (POM, SIT), took 4 songs off each album + Iron Maiden and the result is this setlist.
1. Caught Somewher In Time
2. Ghost of the Navigator
3. Brighter Than a...
A spotify playlist with about 20 songs, most of them 80s songs, FOTD and 2-3 reunion songs would be ideal for someone to get to know the band. Then, I think, listening to the whole discography is the way. I'm not a fan of best ofs.
If they wanted 30k attendance in Athens, why would they book such a huge venue? It will seem empty with 30k people.
With these prices, I don't see them selling more than 25-30k tickets.
I just got mine for Athens, 103,5 Euros for GA. I don't even know why I spent that much for a gig I've already seen live and in a shit venue that will be 100% worse than my experience in 2025. Probably because they won't tour in 2027. It might be the last time I see them live and that was my...
With these prices, 30k people is the most they should expect. OAKA is a huge place with pretty bad sound and it will be half empty imo (the arena at least). 103,5 Euros for a standing ticket, when in 2022 it was 90 Euros for Golden Circle.
The problem is that OAKA is a terrible venue. I was there in 2022 and 90 Euros for golden circle was fair. 100+ Euros now for just arena is too expensive imo and it should not sell well. I think I prefer to pay more and go see them in another country, even though I live in Athens.
It seems so expensive. I got 4th row seats at Waldbuehne for 100 Euros or so this summer. I won't pay almost double that to stand with another 100k people in a field and then pay extra for camping. I'll probably choose a Balkan concert this time around. I want to go to Croatia, but Pula is still...
The thing with Maiden is that we know they'll play the same set at every stop of the tour. So, when a tour is announced I ask myself these 2 questions:
1. What place I'd like to visit?
2. Which is the best venue for the gig?
That's why last year I chose Waldbuehne. This year it might be Pula...
