    The Time Machine

I agree, but, for common understanding, it is, unfortunately, applied.

    The Time Machine

The guy from Licks Of The Beast used that as a reference, after the intro, and it makes sense:

    The Time Machine

Extremely progressive; it has the 'vibe' of something The Outer Limits era Voivod could've done; when the riffs kick in, it carries a Zeppelin 'groove' and if I had to get a reference, for the first verses, it would be Uriah Heep, at the end of David Byron's era (I read some saying it could be...

    Death Of The Celts

This sounded totally pointless, on Friday, upon first listening. On the next day, I did put the album for a second spin and things started to fall into place, although, that happy major key riff sounded outta context, but, the historical value and the soundtrack nuances started to make it sound...

    Guitar solos - Senjutsu

Only the last one is Jan's. All other four is Dave's. I've been reviewing the solos and the last one seems a bit like Davey 'cos Jan holds some notes, but, the vibrato is what gives it away. On the other hand, the one before, also, has the ending vibrato wild, but, has that countour, a...

    Revisiting The X Factor

Man, I used to place Judgement Day on this exactly same spot, but, LOTF and MOTE being uptempo tracks, and, although the next 3 songs start slow with great build ups, LFTT doesn't come back to a slow outro, as FOW and The Aftermath. I found a few weeks ago that JD would fit better just before...

Some great insights by Jimmy, from The Metal Voice:

    Senjutsu - 3rd September 2021

Surprisingly, not. But, he said, if they do another album, he's got a song about a race car driver, which he was 'ashamed' to show the guys, for the Senjutsu sessions.

    Senjutsu - 3rd September 2021

Just out of curiosity: both albums released on September 3rd are the only ones in which during the writing sessions have no Davey's contributions. The only album I got the leak was AMOLAD and it turned out to be my least fave album, but, over the past 2 or 3 years, the songs I used to dislike...

    Senjutsu - 3rd September 2021

Nope, man. TBOS I bought on release date (September 4th), on Saraiva (the biggest retailer in Brasil), but, I phoned 'em and they are cleaning up physical media in stock and won't sell this kind of product ever, again. I preordered on Amazon.br and the delivery date is marking September 14th...

    Revisiting The X Factor

Yeah! I have all records on vinyl up to FOTD (except for TNOTB, which I never managed to buy, as of yet), then, switched to cd's and I only buy cd's for the bands I really love. I convert it to 'flac' and mp3 and only listen on this format.

    Revisiting The X Factor

I know very well 'cos I bought it in 1994, but, it wasn't considered as such. First double is The Book Of Souls.
